Imagine Ren absolutely gleaming at himself when he realizes that False doesn't mind his touch, the way he wraps his arm around her with no hesitation, the way he slots himself to her side like a parasite.

To feel her arm against his, to feel her softness under his hand. He pulls her close to him, proud of himself after their disaster of a handshake and his heart soars because she was grinning too, laughing as they left the room and smacking his hand as quietly as possible, still grinning. He can't even think properly as he finally let's her go, letting his touch drag and eyes linger before returning to his station and he knows, he just knows, he'll be asked questions he won't want to answer later, but doesn't even care, because he loves her.
