Do you think MCSM should have a season 3? If so what would you want it to be?
Like an official Season 3?
No.
I think MCSM ended perfectly, with us the player getting to decide what kind of ending Jesse has. It leads to many roads of opportunity for the player to get creative with how they think Jesse's story might continue on, from either staying in BeaconTown, or hitting the road with Petra.
That's something I really like about MCSM, is how everyone experiences the game differently. We all have different views of who Jesse is, and we all have different views on how their story ends. That makes it easy to find AU's or continuations of the story from all sorts of different angles. You're bound to find one that aligns with your view of Jesse.
But I don't really think about a Season 3... More or less domestic life that comes after Season 2.
My favorite thing to think about is Jesse's recovery after the events of Season 2, and how he would heal from the trauma he'd undergone. I've always liked stories that cover someone's healing process, rather than seeing them undergo conflict after conflict over and over again. I like feel-good stories, and if I were to "make" a Season 3, it would be something like that. But it wouldn't exactly fit into MCSM's theme. They're bound to go on some grand adventure again, aren't they?
But again, no I don't think there should be an official Season 3. With the rise of AI... I think now is the best time for everyone who has ever had their own ideas for MCSM to kick it into high gear and start producing that thing they've been sitting on for ages. There is always someone out there who is going to enjoy what you make, and we need to be creating now more than ever to combat AI. Whether it be through art, fic or music... Anything!
