okay so jensen ackles who played dean aka the character that was confessed to but didn’t get a chance to respond, said that he liked that his character’s response was left open to interpretation. this is big because in the past he’s been super back and forth on the whole romantic vs platonic destiel thing. meanwhile misha collins who played cas, aka the one confessing, is out here calling it a “homosexual declaration of love” but also saying he doesn’t think dean reciprocates, all the while trying to avoid cw snipers (who were proven to be real but apparently are the wb snipers). then you have the latin american dub aka y yo a ti where dean *does* reciprocate but in spanish. this caused a huge reaction because fans initially thought the english reciprocation was cut only to find out that the director and actor who dubbed for dean added it because they thought it was the natural progression of things aka they thought it was obvious that dean was in love with cas too. and now the actor who dubbed for cas is saying that he thought the confession was fraternal but that he did see winks towards it being romantic which is all objectively hilarious because it adds to the schrödinger’s destiel where it manages to be both canon and not at the same time-
