Vincens and Aikaterina

A growing cult in the free cities of Essos though it seems to have originated in Lhazar. The cult is largely focused on fertility and the mating/birthing season of the goats and sheep most Lhazareen rely upon for their livlihood. 

Vincens is a god of the earth with lionlike features while Aikaterina is his consort and bride. The story has some variations- with one variant that Aikaterina was maimed after her marriage to Vincens by a horselike beast and fled to the sky only coming down at the beginning of the brithing season to lie with her husband. While another variant holds that Aikaterina already dwealt in the sky when she was attacked and Vincens wooed her from the ground below until she came down to earth to be his bride. 

Regardless the cult is largely a gentle one- with adherents celebrating marriages or sexual unions on the day Aikaterina is believed to join her husband on earth, bringing with her attendents the rains. Cakes, gifts of milk and wreathes of grass are also traditionally left as offerings to the sacred couple all year round. 

The Great Shepard is usually regarded as their son by those in the countryside though this is fairly debated/ignored in the towns and citie who view him through a more monotheistic lens.
