I genuinely don’t understand why the internet speed on this new laptop is so terrible. Nothing else I own has this problem but I can’t even watch a 3 minute YouTube video without needing to pause to buffer 8 times. It’s like being back in 2003 I can’t live like this

The problem with writing multiple fics in the same fandom at once, at least when you’re actively working on them at the same time so they’re all open, is that it is so easy to confuse yourself.

The Federal Election Commission is run by a six-member board that can't contain more than three members from a single political party. The FEC can only legally do its job of regulating elections and investigating people for violating those regulations if it has at least four members. The FEC is currently down to two. This is the fourth time in the last 20 years it has had too few members to function; the previous three times were once under George W. Bush and twice under the first Trump administration. But, says NPR, this isn't a huge change because it basically doesn't do its job anyway.

If there are free and fair elections in 2028, whoever succeeds Trump should fill all FEC vacancies to the letter but not the spirit of the law by appointing no new Republicans to it.
