You know, I kill myself for my job. I work long and hard hours all weekend just so people can have the wedding of their dreams. Which is hilarious to me, since I’m the only one who’s ever been engaged and never wants to be married. But I put in the time, and I climbed up from the bottom like the fucking American Dream says you should.

I love it there. I love the people, I love the atmosphere. It’s stressful as fuck, but it’s challenging. It’s breakneck pace, and I always have something to do.

My boss hugged me today and said I was doing damn good. And I just...man, it’s so great to feel actually...recognized for once. My other job, I’ve been stagnant at for almost four years. No upward mobility, no real perks.
