While obviously the two punch combo of the anti-boycott law and the expanded IOF offensive explicitly aimed at displacement is nightmarish, I think people are wrongly attributing this to a growing right wing anti-Palestine movement flexing its muscles post election, when instead these are increasingly desperate measures to try and stop the imperial bleed. Empires don’t win conflicts like these by *increasing* the expenditure or tightening the noose on its core subjects, it does by minimizing cost and impact at home.
#this is fear#it’s gone on too long with too little gain#billions and billions down the drain#Israeli economy in a vegetative state#permanent irreversible damage to Israel’s international reputation and credibility like never before#and most all#it’s clear they no longer have the outright military power to maintain their position#they’re beatable again
