wip whenever: da2-era carver and dorian are an eternally fun combo
“Ugh. My brother,” Carver says. “What an idiot.”
“A rather effective idiot, in fairness,” Dorian says.
“Well, clearly. No one’s taking that away from him.”
Dorian chances to look over his shoulder directly at Carver. “I could bring him here, you know. If you wanted to speak to him about all this yourself.”
“Maker, no. Don’t do that. After what he’s done to me? I couldn’t stand the sight of him.”
“You do realize he didn’t intend any harm to come to you. There was simply no other way.”
“He never intends it,” Carver says. “That’s the bloody point. He never thinks of me at all.”
“I’m not so sure of that.”
Carver folds his arms, scowling. “And how would you know? How is any of this even your business?”
Dorian hops to his feet, proceeding to pack away his things and dust off his satchel. “It’s not my business, I suppose! I just know he continues to love you, in spite of this situation between you.”
“Yes, and I love him too, obviously. So what?”
Dorian looks at Carver once more, brows askance. “Obviously?”
Carver furrows his brow right back. “Yes, obviously. He’s my only brother.”
“And yet you can’t bear the sight of him.”
“No. Because he’s insufferable.”
“And yet you love him. See? You are not making any sense whatsoever.”
Carver rolls his eyes. “You don’t have siblings, do you?”
