sorry this is late i wanted to try and think abt it the next time i was actively writing something. so hmm. i’m not sure if it’s bc i’ve been doing this for so long? or idk JDBDNSN. the long story short is i’m just always Thinking. in fact i often feel like i’m doing way too much over explaining/writing so sometimes i cut some shit out. most of my sex scenes i’m like ??? or also introspection. or even in general…like 😭😭 relax man. so when people say this i’m like that dog with a lollipop bc yay! i hit the right balance.

i always want to create a mental image. so! the scenery is usually very tied up with whatever is going on with a character so they are like interwoven if that makes sense!! <- and for this maybe i try and hit a few of the senses. when i’m “outlining” (*speed gif) — really i call this taking notes — that’s where sometimes i throw in a lot of descriptors…or factors that i wanna hit. if that makes sense? so basically taking notes is what helps me?? with my flow, or sometimes i just straight jump into it. but i am constantly deleting and adding and changing, and writing new versions of things (thank you google docs tabs!) so don’t be afraid to do this!

damn. this i feel was largely unhelpful bc i can’t even remember what i was doing the last time i was writing (a few hours ago) DHDHDB IM SORRY u can always send smth else 😁. but this is basically my process. also i listen to music a lot which always helps!
