                    « i wrote her into the book, into return, to try & throw off scratch. she was unpredictable, stubborn & heroic. exactly what this plot needed, a hero who's compass hadn't been broken yet. mine was clouded, infected, tainted by the dark presence sinking its claws into me time & time again. she got me out. she freed me from the dark place, now she was paying the price. the same burden that every hero must burden. i had to hope that we could end this together, alan wake & daphne blake, change the ending before it's too late. she was my last hope, my only hope, & we were running out of time. »

sometimes i wonder what leo's flaw is (aside from being a scorpio). he seems too perfect at times.
