is the blood on your hands dry? mine isn't (canon divergence jason todd angst // explicit // 51k)
everything in jason is desperate to just go, to pound his boots against the ground at a flat run, to light up gotham with his rage and vengeance until there are no shadows thrown over it at all. he could go out in a blaze of glory so bright it washed away all the ground-in dirt of his maybe soul, a smoking barrel to the joker’s head.
but it’s the joker and jason already did that once, paid the price for that mistake. this time, there won’t be any mistakes. this time, jason will get his revenge if it’s the last fucking thing he does.
jason comes back to gotham and it is not pretty
But Zhen is downright the devil of the relationship for real. The mischief imp who would play too much and suffer as a consequence rofl.
Can't even call it suffering if he ends up having fun with it lool

...Shower day...
Right...
RIGHT. YEAH. He needed a shower, Fleetway needed to BATHE. Yesterday not being the only reason. He'd gone as far as sleeping on the floor, not wanting to sleep in the bed or even on the couch because then y'know
He'd have to clean that too.
But despite his sore back and skiff joints, the gold hedgehog stood in the bathroom, staring at the shower with increasing distaste. Maybe he could just...not? No no, the matted fur on his stomach and thighs said otherwise. It probably didn't help that his quills were just too heavy, dirty and overall just gross.
Rather reluctantly, he tugged at his gloves, yanking them off and tossing them into the basket next to the sink, same with his socks, leaving him with nothing else to stall with. He gingerly took a few steps forward, reaching into the dreaded shower and twitsting the knob, resulting in the horrible liquid that was water spurting from the nozzle and right onto the floor. The demon hopped back with his ears pinned, tail between his legs as he reached back in to turn the knob all the way over to the left, heating up the water as hot as it would go.
Steam poured over to top of the shower-stall and through the open door, dampening Fleetway enough to make him uncomfortable. He stood there long enough fo condensation begin to drop from his quills, dampness clinging to his fur and making him want to screech and flee, roll on the floor and claw at his fur until the water was gone. But he couldn't do that now could he?
Rather reluctantly he reached under the water, shuddering when the stuff battered against his fingers, some of it clinging to the soft fur while the rest either ran down his arm or dribbled through his fingers. Hot, really hot, this was much better had it been only a few degrees cooler. It took a good few minutes before he actually let himself step under the water, biting his lip and scrubbing rather furiously through his quills, the palms of his hands rubbed over the soap and roughly ground the stuff into his fur, doing this as quickly as he could manage before he turned the water off, stumbling over to the towel rack in a hurry and yanking all the towels down and covering himself with them, all but rolling out of the bathroom and curl up on the floor in his next of towels.
Well at least he was clean
