I don't know if anybody actually cares, but I love data and numbers and spreadsheets, and making spreadsheets is literally a hobby to me.
I was going to put this all in an ask but decided fuck it, it'll be easier to compile like this. I sent in the answers to my initial question as anons (NHL, PWHL), but I started a spreadsheet and it kind of spiraled and now I have a bunch of data. All of this is being collected for the NHL bracket, but round 1 for the PWHL bracket is already over and I don't want to wait to share it.
@hockeyblorbopolls
Here is a summary of the results of Round 1 (PWHL)
A quick note on how what labels mean:
% indicates the difference in percentage of votes, while # indicates the difference in the number of votes
Upset: the lower-seeded player beat the higher-seeded player, (seed) refers to the difference in their seed number
Neutral Votes: the combined results of "not blorboable" and "see results/don't know them"
The last panel is the sum of the votes for each player of the team
Last but not least, a summary of the players who made it through to round 2:
*the greyed out rows means that the bracket started out with players of that nationality, but none made it to this round
