Okay here's my official statement regarding the TADC leaks-

Don't.

Seriously, don't. Im saying this as someone whos gonna see it 2 weeks before its up on YouTube in theaters- im of the philosophy of keeping quiet until everyone has had the chance to see it. Its fair and polite to everyone wanting to experience it in theaters or the YouTube release date.

I understand the folks who prefer to be spoiled before seeing it live. Suspense is nerve-wracking and there have been many times i spoiled myself on purpose for the betterment of my stress levels. But its unfair to those who wish to wait if you post spoilers without spoiler tags.

And to folks who dont wish to be spoiled- block spoiler tags or even tadc tag all together for the time being. Spoilers etiquette goes both ways.

This release is huge for independent film makers- it could mean really good things for the future of film making if it does really well. Please do not ruin this theater experience for people- and don't ruin or spoil the ending before its released for everyone not able to see it in theaters. Theres no reason to fight each other. Be polite. Be kind. Dont spoil.

Had a customer today who stayed around to chat a bit. And she asked me if I understand why things are happening as they are - globally and in Germany. We had a big problem recently where half the city had no electricity. Media says extremist left is to blame (if true - idiots, wrong target), the left argues it was another attack by Russian hacker networks such a Fancy Bear (if true - bad, but not new). I can't fact check so I do not know what it true.

I had to think for a moment.

Because what did she want?

The logical explanation and reasoning? My moral verdict?

(understanding - Verstehen in German means a lot of things. It's not that easy.)

Because I can understand why things are happening the way they do when it comes to Manipulation. In fact, were I so enclined, I'd do the exact same. Many people in history did. Manipulation is in my nature, if my friends and family are to be believed. It's not a problem for me to imagine that. It's the easiest route to get what these people want. Of course they take it. Morals are perfectly unnecessary here.

Do I understand it on an emotional level? No. But that doesnt mean much. Change my background, my financial situation, and maybe I'd feel differently. I am fortunate to have a healthy environment to roam in. Many people do not.

Can I discuss deep shit like that with a random customer while putting things into shelves? Not exactly. So I said "No." Even though it's not sufficient.
