PSX Character Commission for @fl00f-rawra!
“Bill…”
“PAY. ATTENTION.”
Overly optimistic au where Tsunade becomes Hokage. Is told about Itachi's mission. And half way through the briefing on when and where to expect his reports to pop up. She just goes. Ha. Okay. I'm gonna stop you right there, actually.
The angry duck (Sasuke) I have half dead in the hospital rn is there because of this shit?
Because you all thought half a life of war and half a life of spying was enough of a childhood for him to be able to appropriately manage his shit? Nah. I'm going to get him right now. I'm going to knock some sense into him first for going too far. But after that I'm throwing his scrawny ass over my shoulder. Mission is over.
round one done!!
Reading The Trials of the Mantis Warriors and it reminds me why the upcoming dropsite massacre book pisses me off so much.
We’ve been told that story. Over, and over and fucking over again. I could probably draw a diagram of fucking Isstvan V based on all the fucking stories I’ve read about the dropsite massacre.
And yet, not a singular fucking book about the Badab War. The origin story of an overarching 40k villain who appears in far more stories than Abaddon does. Who is basically warhammer 40k Hondo Ohnaka, weird little daemon pet included.
A story that includes so many successor chapters like the Marines Errant, the Exorcists, the Excoriators, the Mantis Warriors, the Lamenters, the Astral Claws, the Novamarines, the Minotaurs, the Howling Griffons, the Star Phantoms, the Carcharodons, the Fire Hawks, the Fire Angels and the Raptors, many of whom don’t even have a single book to their name or a space marine battles book at *most*.
A story that genuinely has a lot of moral complexities, far more so than the Heresy, because the Lamenters, Executioners and Mantis Warriors were *loyal* the entire way through. They acted like they thought was best and in the interest of the Emperor. They didn’t fall to Chaos, they didn’t consort with daemons, they acted in their best estimate of what was actually genuinely righteous.
But no, we apparently need another book about an event we’ve heard already so much about about the original Legions.
me and my friend were going to roadtrip to go to this party tonight and she was supposed to pick me up literally in 5 minutes but her car broke down and my brother has my car, so we can’t go anymore 🫠🫠🫠
