I think I found the single worst line of dialogue on this show - from a purely technical standpoint I mean

When Regina tells Ariel, “The only thing worse about telling your prince how you feel and rejecting it is... never telling him at all.”

It just makes NO sense grammatically. What she means is “The only thing worse than telling him how you feel and him rejecting you” but that’s not what she says. And I’m pretty sure it’s a script thing, because if Lana had just messed up the line they’d have used a different take.

It just sounds like something a kid would say, mimicking the super-dramatic villain speeches they’ve heard in movies but no actual understanding of the words involved so the grammar is all over the place.

Which tbf, it’s fun to imagine that that’s exactly what Regina is doing, just trying to tick all the “evil” boxes without fully understanding the reasoning etc, and Rumple getting frustrated because she just doesn’t get it, he needs her to be truly evil and here she is showing evil cleavage and drama-monologuing and putting on a hell of a show but without any actual substance, and Hook laughing his head off at the whole situation...
