Gilkey handed us the concept design from which we developed shop drawings and executed the build. They then tied it all together with other materials including precast and site cast concrete planters and pavers, lighting, plants, and more. Finishing off this 3-1/4” deep x 1/8” kerf cut with a sawzall since the Makita X2 only cuts 2-9/16” deep. We clamped up four 3x10 PT arbor beams for batch cutting. All the beams and rafter tails dropped in fairly easily except the last one. There’s always that one beam or door or piece of crown that just gets you at the end of the day. 🤯 Check our story line for some video of this cut. 👍 And thank you for following along! . .
