The Verge And Past Futurisms

A fan film that has an interesting look at societies take on technology over what is becoming now a more distant past, but in a way as it might apply in today's world.  I don't agree with all of it, but I think it is still informative to at least consider.  Pretty much you can skip the first and last 5 minutes to get the actual really interesting material.  If anything jump to about the 17 minute mark.  I think there is this one little section there that definitely captures our society today.

HP considering firing CEO Leo Apotheker

If you've been following the recent drama with HP, things are far from over.  It would seem that the board is not too happy with CEO Leo Apotheker and are considering replacing him.  Right now the most likely candidate seems to be Meg Whiteman who currently sits on the board at HP.  Personally, have a feeling that just about anybody else at the wheel would be good for HP.

New iPad "HD" Will Make Doctors Say Wow

A new iPad HD is rumored to be in the works for a fall release, according to the editors of thisismynext. It will boast a 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution display, almost double the current pixel display.

Viewing radiology images on the iPad will be drastically improved, and allow for seamless interpretation. Medical image viewers are going mobile in an exciting way, and I for one am glad to be around for it.
