Why would Elijah have been so willing to to kill a child for Hope? Klaus wouldn't, Marcel wouldn't and Hayley wouldn't either hence Hayley asking to find another way. They draw the line at children. I feel like if he doesn't do everything to save Hope and she dies, he will lose Hayley entirely and perhaps to Klaus (kind of like what happened after they had to send her away early in Season 2). Back then, Hayley blamed Klaus for the threat of his past enemies, but now it's not his fault. I mean out of all his siblings, Elijah stayed behind. Freya had to because she had to help Hope with her powers. Elijah? For Hayley. I mean, he's just an uncle (at least Jackson was married to Hayley) but he's acting more than an uncle should (comparing this to the other Mikaelsons) just because he's involved with Hayley. And this—trying to help Hayley by protecting Hope—brings out the dark side of him which makes him worse than Klaus. At least, Klaus has a legitimate reason to go all murderous with Hope being his blood. Elijah is using his brother's redemption and family as a cover which doesn't work anymore in this season. I like Daniel Gillies but I wish they'd give him a storyline out of being the third wheel in the Klopely family. It's getting stale dragging this on. I don't understand his purpose really.
