I think at one point during their happily ever after, Shane gets so fucking tired of putting on his polite, golden boy media smile for people he fucking hates(and obvioysly these people deserve the hate) and just snaps. But he has been through too many media training sessions to snap in public to someone he isn't familiar enogh with so it happens at yet another team barbecue after a brutal(and now unfamiliar) loss for the Centaurs. Harris is reading some hater comments outloud before he deletes them cus he is working overtime, all the time and OF COURSE they are homophobic and/or racist. But Shane isn't bothered by that. What finally makes him snap is that Troy fucking Barrett undermining the hate comments. He is like 'Oh man, I have heard the f word so many times it ain't even an insult anymore.' And Shane is like 'EXCUSE ME, YOU Dallas Kent's bestie, have heard that word too many times?' And then goes on and on about how Troy Barrett played into everything that made his life a living hell and then somehow got away with it. The tension is there and it is thick and the team doesn't stop giving Troy the cold shoulder for months after that but hey, Shane doesn't shut up and bear it anymore. This phenomenon made Shane realise that he is nıt infact wrong for hating bad people amd starts doing it more.
Thus is the BAMF Shane Hollander birthed.
