There are always those people who when you meet them will ask you, where do you live. with your mom? and your mom goes “uh, of course! with me! where else would she live?” and i am talking about immigrant parents. 

and this stranger would have like an ounce of respect for you. because they think you are capable of living your own life, not only that they think you should be able to. it is a right that everyone should have. it’s honestly more respect than i have for myself. 

which says something about my house hold. the way we do things is a bit different.
