idk why, but to me Sung Jin-Woo has always been an omega. it’s probably because of his family now that I think about it. he’s such a family man at heart

I don’t really have a sjw ship that I’m particularly partial to, but I used to be a big WooChul shipper and I think they’d be an alpha-omega pair since being an alpha fits Woo Jin-Chul too. I also think Cha Hae-In would be an alpha just based on her character, but also since according to Ragnarok she almost died giving birth (allegedly. I have not read it yet so I can’t confirm) so giving that responsibility to sjw instead feels fair lol

my two favorite solo leveling ships are actually ThoLenn & ChoiBaek, so they’re up next

Thomas & Lennart are definitely an alpha-omega pair, no doubt about it, but I’m also partial to them both being alphas. they both care very deeply for their packs, but Thomas is more protective & Lennart is more caretaking with a side of protective imo

ChoiBaek is a little harder, since a big part of their dynamic in canon is their equal standing in terms of power. rivalry by default puts characters on an equal ground since it means they respect each other enough to consider the other a competitor, not an enemy. so because of that, I’m torn between Choi Jong-In being either an omega or an alpha. Baek Yoon-Ho is definitely an alpha, but cji could go either way tbh

and as for other characters (some of which are more based on what was added to their character for ARISE because although Solo Leveling had a large cast, most of the characters weren’t well developed, if at all)…

as a general commonality, most high-ranks are alphas, most mid-ranks are betas, and most low-ranks are omegas. this perpetuates a certain stereotype that omegas are weaker and alphas are stronger, which would negatively affect any high-ranking omegas and low-ranking alphas.

oftentimes, those who fall into those categories will take heavy suppressants to hide their secondary gender so that they won’t be perceived as “weak” or “abnormal”. it’s also common for omegas in general to take suppressants since their societal perception as being weak makes them a target for violence, which they’re all the more susceptible to given their typically low ranks.

Summary: description of a TikTok video of ChoiBaek, WooZhi, Son Kihoon/Sung Jinwoo, and ThoLenn participating in the Letting go of my partner's hand challenge.

The video starts with seven-star hunter Liu Zhigang walking next to Chief Woo Jinchul. The two men are holding hands while enjoying a walk in a park. Chief Woo lets go of Hunter Liu's hand and stops walking.

Hunter Liu is now a couple of steps in front with his hand out by his side. He is opening and closing his hand, while Chief Woo's body starts to shake from laughter.

The video transitions to show Choi Jongin and Beak Yoonho walking together and holding hands as well.

Hunter Choi let's go of Hunter Beak's hand and stops walking. Hunter Beak turns to him in confusion and holds out his hand. The mic picks up the fire mages laugh as he reaches for Hunter Beak's hand.

Hunters Sung Jinwoo and Son Kihoon are shown, at an awkward camera angle, sitting on a couch with their hands intertwined between them. Hunter Son glances at something behind the camera before removing his hand from Hunter Sung's. Hunter Sung refuses to let go of his hand. The side eye from Hunter Sung receives an amused look from Hunter Son as the A-ranker still tries to remove his clasped hand.

Hunter Sung suddenly lets go and tackles Hunter Son to the couch, however, both Hunters tumble off the couch and the video fills with laughter.

Thomas Andre and Lennart Niermann are shown walking down a large hall. Niermann looks like he is about to fall asleep as he walks. Thomas lets go of the German hunter's hand before sweeping him off his feet to carry him out of frame. An amused sigh is cut off as the video ends and loops back to Hunter Liu and Chief Woo.

Thomas and Lennart doing a friendly sparring match except they're not. They're practically flirting and dancing around each other while the other guild members from all over the world watch them with disgust at their obvious and hopeless pinning.

Lennart gracefully dodged Thomas punched and used the momentum to jump behind his broad body. Lennart channels his magic onto his legs and lands a heavy kick that was strong enough to make the huge man staggered. Lennart was fast and lean while Thomas was strong and powerful and yet they show no mercy towards each other.

Lennart decided to end the match by locking Thomas neck with his legs, and took captive of his arm.

Lennart didn't bother landing another hit and instead asked, "Do you yield?" His voices slightly out of breath.

Thomas barely looks ruffled. He grin mischievously before flipping their position. Easily pinning Lennart down. Lennart glared at him from underneath him. His face flushed with both anger and embarrassment. He relishes on the sight of Lennart slowly coming undone under him.

"Oh my god, get a fucking room,"

They looked up to see Laura and Lennart assistant glaring at them from the sideline. Laughter fills the hall as they separate from each other.
