Thomas Parrott, author from the Vaults of Obsidian: A Black Stone Fortress Anthology. Has been let go by Games Workshop/Black Library for standing up to the Alt-right Trolls on Twitter. After GW cut ties with Arch, everyone thought they were finally on the right side of racial equality and gender issues. Apparently not.

It's been a year since I joined the editor team at Cold Open Stories...
And it's been a rewarding and enriching experience, maybe as much as an editor as it has as a place to submit my own writing. Helping others improve their writing, and helping them shape your stories, is such a wonderful experience.
Are readership and our authors are a diverse as could ever be imagined. The western hemisphere, Canada, the US, Mexico, even Columbia and Argentina. We have had authors from Denmark, Norway, Germany, UK, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.
Short Fiction Anthologies: 2,000 - 8,000 word limit, with submissions once every quarter. The Summer submissions are open until July 31st 2021. From 9 to 12 stories in each anthology!
Fast Fiction Contest: 500-1000 word limit. Here we've had a number of Black Library authors who have been our guest judges: Thomas Parrott and Nicolas Wolf. Deadline is June 30th 2021. So hurry!
Audio Dramas: award winning series of original audio dramas set in the WH40K universe. Worth going on to the website, and taking a listen.
Inquisitor: We're calling an immersive writing game, which much like the SCP Foundation style collaborative community effort. [Note in the future, Inquisitor is going to evolve into a more RPG format]
Coming Soon: Our own Scifi/Fantasy anthology series. Expand beyond the boundaries of just Warhammer universe, into a world of imagination.
