Good Xenos Novels?
Have there been any good Xenos novels since I was away? Bonus points if they actually have Xenos win battles against the Imperium. Bonus bonus points if said battles involve Space Marines/Deathwatch/Grey Knights/Custdoes (how many fucking tiers of super warrior does one faction need?)
The last thing I read was the two Twice-Born King novels and I enjoyed them.
Has anything good come out since?

AELDARI & DRUKHARI READING LIST Note this is a work in progress, if something is missing please let me know and I will add it. NOVELS AND
I don't have a list for Necrons or Orks but the above pretty much carries it for Tau, Aeldari, and Drukhari.

Captain Davian Thule, what really happened to him, his arch enemy Shas'O'Kais, and the story of his deepest love - Sergeant Endymion.
Honestly people complaining about their experience on Bluesky not being curated have just forgotten the work they put into making THIS piece of shit website livable. "It shows me random posts tagged For You" that's a feed you can opt out of "Every other post is a callout" we're really deep into a wave of assholes joining the website cause it's the next big thing and we have to tell each other to block them as they pop up, but also that's not the website's fucking fault "It's just Twitter 2.0" yes believe it or not some of us need a website marketing itself as having broad appeal for work reasons, rather than one that prides itself on losing every company touching it money.
Overall it's just jumping on a new social. It's a huge pain in the ass. You don't have to do it, but it's got fuck all to do with Bluesky's own merits.
Ladies and Gentlemen... Mesdames et Messieurs... she's back!
Shout out if you also include erotica or smut in your works to turn meaningful narrative into an indulgent detour designed only to stimulate arousal
In the world of infinite human experience shaping our lives and beings, sex stands alone in the realm of having no impact worth noting whatsoever.

Woman of the Blue Waves
Woman of the Blue Waves - a sexy Tau rom-com with a grimdark edge. Like the edge of pirate's cutlass! Another in the series about the Salash'hei firewarrior Tsu'ke that started with the Sea Dragon's Fire.
Don't be a coward and read it. Rated NC-17 for real adults who want a real WH40K story that has both romance and sex in it. Both of which are central to the plot of the story.
PS May contain pirates.
Meanwhile in Medieval Ireland...
Meanwhile in Renaissance Ireland
Tá brón orm a chara ach sin é cló Albrehct Durer ón 15ú haois.Ciallaíonn sé gurb é Renaissance Ireland é.
Translation: Sorry my friend but that is n Albrehct Durer's print from the 15th century. That means it is Renaissance Ireland.
Dreadnoughts being far more casual and emotional, than their younger brothers is one of my favourite tropes in Wh40k.
Put a kickass sound system on Grandpa and let him blast some good stuff!
Come on, now.

(Minor) Xenos of the Galaxy Series - Tau Auxilia
From my post of this piece on the Advanced Tau Tactica Discord:
"The Lord Carni's Young Tau getting into mischief... cartoon has gotten a massive response on Reddit. Well over 1,200 views and 686 up votes. Folks are really into the artwork and are saying how much they like the concept of Tau, humans, Vespids, and Kroot socializing."
I must add that this was after only two hours after being posted on r/Tau40K.
A real "Live Long and Prosper" moment.

Dark was the hold where the ancients slept. Great warriors of the chapter standing in their armoured sarcophagi, in an eternal state of somnolence. Power cables, pneumatic lines, oxygen tubes, and lubricating conduits connect to the mighty Venerable Castraferrum dreadnoughts. Between each one rises the smoke of holy censors and the scent of sacred unguents fills the air. Thus their readiness is maintained, until the day when the God-Emperor calls them forth again to battle. Until that day, they sleep undisturbed, lit by gold lumens that shine upon their names Akuto, Erebus, Shoigu, and Thule.
‘It is best not to disturb the ancient ones m’lords,’ says the pale and elderly serf.
‘But we have come here to speak to the Ancient Thule,’ said the dark-haired Brother Patroclus.
‘We must speak to him,’ insisted the fair-haired Brother Achilles.

So I have been reading some of your blog and want to ask some question: Was Phil Kelly the one responsible for the retcon of T'au FTL? Or it was Jeremy Vetock who did the retcon. If you think it Phil, is there any evident supporting it? Thank you in advance
Well, I spent a an hour with an old vesa from the Advance Tau Tactica forum, and he thought it was Vetock in 6th edition too. The thing was I only remember folks talking about it around the time of 8th edition. Turns out it was Vetock but we had to dig around the codex to find the information. So, the offensive material is on pages 11-13 of the 6th edition codex. Check Preparing for the Storm on page 13. PS We both agreed the concept of the Tau only have STL drive is broken, no matter who wrote it, and deserves to go out the airlock "as is".
I remember you said that books written by Phil Kelly or “He-who-should-not-be-named” should be avoided, but who is "He-who-should-not-be-named"?
Another alias for Phil Kelly There are also: "Mr P.K." "That Guy" "He-who-should-not-be-named" "Hilpay Ellykay"

A recent cartoon for New Scientist
In the colossal, cathedral sized water tank beneath the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey, several heads of Medusa have been used as pillar bases for the past 1.500 years. It is not entirely known where the heads came from, but they were believed to be taken from some other Roman ruin. The heads are upside down or sideways to inhibit the power of the Gorgon Medusa's gaze.
The water tank's existence was forgotten for hundreds of years, despite being beneath the Hagia Sophia. When it was rediscovered, explorers found fish inside of it.
This is where you need to ask someone who is Greek or at least Greek Orthodox. This little feature was the way Christian architects would show their disdain for the pagan builders from a prior age. Use the pagan "heads" to set their pillars upon. In other words to intentionally mock the pagans that came before them.
