Someone watching 1917 with no context:

So I was watching 1917 (because I’m not over it) it was just after the Lauri scene and my friend, who has never seen it before, comes over and starts watching with me. These are some of my favourite things they said:

‘Oh I thought they were about to kiss’ - Schofield and Baumer scene

‘Oh damn, just yeet yourself in the river’ - self-explanatory

‘ARE THOSE BODIES?’ - Schofield coming out of the river

‘Oh dear’ - frequently on many occasions

‘Ooh the gay vibes’ - When Schofield and [Joe] Blake shake hands 

‘Is he dead?’ - Schofield listening to ‘I am a poor wayfaring stranger’

‘Of course there’s a waterfall’ - self-explanatory

‘His swimming technique is appalling’ - honestly I can’t remember if that was me or them but I felt the need to put it in

*General squealing and being terrified out of their goddamn mind* - from Schofield going over the edge to finding [Joe] Blake

‘Wait- who did he come with?’ - this required a rather painful explanation
