Thor x (Verdandi)
short synopsis: A Prince, and his childhood best friend. She grew up alongside the princes after her father, a high ranking warrior in Odin's army, died in the battle of Jhotunheim. She's had a crush on Thor since they were children, but she never thought he would return her feelings...
tropes: virgin x playboy / first fuck (for "you"), friends to lovers, mutual pining, (sometimes) drunk sex/drunken confession, size difference
Selfshipping real close to the sun and trying out a new brush too 💃🏾🕺🏾 I don’t actually play Marvel Rivals I just really really really like Thor

Silver Lightning
It could've been minutes of hours or days Tess had sat on the floor inside the room Val had left her in.
It was some kind of house at the water that had been built bigger than the others, the king's suite or something, and Val had thought it was best to leave her there.
Leave her there so Thor could talk to her when he came, Val had said he would be attending to his people before he did.
And so, she sat there on the floor and waited, the sun lowering in the sky, the chill getting more prominent in the air. She didn't move even when the floorboards became cold beneath her already-aching body.
What she didn't know was it had only been forty minutes since whatever her breakdown had been, and now she heard his footsteps and felt him the moment he was under the same roof as her, his presence ever the storm.
"Tessa?" he called softly to her, knocking on the door with one knuckle as he opened it slowly, his eyes finding her location before he even entered and already homing in on her curled up like a child on the floor against the wall.
She sniffled and looked up, clearing her throat. "I'm here,"
He crossed the distance to her and kneeled down, brushing the hair away from her face. "Are you alright?"
"No," She bit the inside of her mouth to keep it from shaking, and he gently drug his hand down her arm, then slowly pulled her boots off in a way that was similar-yet-opposite of what he had done on the Starhawk.
"Here, you should get some rest," he offered, standing and setting her boots against the wall. "You look tired. We can always talk tomorrow."
Tess didn't make a move other than to stand, but stared at the floor, twisting her fingers together, picking the skin away from around her nails. He watched her face for a moment before looking down to see how she was near drawing blood. He stepped in front of her and took her hands gently to stop her, running his fingers over them and kissing her knuckles softly.
"What is it?" he asked.
She finally looked up, her eyes seeming to be deep in thought as she pulled her hands back to herself. "This place..." she began, her voice soft and distant. "It showed me so much more about where you truly come from—About you."
His brow furrowed slightly, and he cocked his head to the side just a bit, trying to understand what she was getting at.
"These people," she went on. "Everything here is beautiful, by design... you're a nation of warriors by that design, you're royalty—king—by birthright, and the last of your line." Her voice shuddered a little, and he would've taken her hands again had she not stepped back. Farther away from him. The distance was beginning to feel like lightyears even if it was barely a foot. "Last heir to the throne except for... except for the child you could have. Your heir. And Asgard looks to you to keep them alive through that."
Her jaw shivered, and he looked confused. Confused, and saddened for how scared and tormented she looked. "Love, I don't understand..."
She smiled ruefully, tears already in her eyes. "And that's what you want... You want your own children, right?"
He swallowed. He couldn't lie to her, but for some reason he felt like the truth would be her undoing. Yes, of course he did. He had for years and just when he had thought he found the right person to look to that sort of future for they had split and he had been alone.
Until Tess.
"Yes, but I can wait." he murmured to her.
"Then it can't be me." she whispered sharply, tears in her voice. "You can't be with me because I can never give you that."
He felt a tremor go through him at those words, but only because, for a moment, he felt maybe she was ending this, maybe for her sake.
But no, she was... almost begging him, for his sake.
But... what had Banner said in the lab that day?
She was sterile. She had had that female right taken from her... but by who, he didn't know. Or how.
"Tess..." he whispered, getting close to her again to take her chin in his hand, getting her to look up at him. "That's what this is about?"
Tears rolled down her cheeks that he promptly wiped away, but she nodded anyways. "You won't want this long term." she whispered, fear in her voice. Shame.
His heart broke in his chest, and he kissed the top of her head. "How is it you're the daughter of someone who shared no blood with you? That your family shares no blood at all?"
She exhaled shakily, looking up at him. "That's different. You want your child, an immortal, a god. I can't—"
"I want you." he said in a voice that meant no argument, earnest and strong, taking her face in both hands. "I choose you."
She wanted to give in right then and there and melt into his grasp, kiss him until she fell asleep and know they were going to be okay. She wanted to be selfish and let herself have this a little longer, but he deserved the truth.
She stepped back, swallowing tightly as her throat felt like it was being strangled. "You—you need to know, then... know and decide if this is what you want."
He didn't understand what she meant, but waited as she stood there for a second, her chest heaving and her hands shaking.
Tess squeezed her eyes shut and took the hem of her shirt, slowly lifting it up, over the plate on her abdomen, over her breast, up over her shoulders to reveal the other clasp in her chest.
She didn't open her eyes, she couldn't bear to see his reaction, and she stood there, dropping her shirt on the floor and waiting, standing open and bare to him.
His heart slowed down in his chest at the sight of it, his eyes slowly taking in the metal forced into her body—just above a nasty scar slashed across her abdomen—the number across it as if... as if she were something to be marked, numbered like livestock—
He would've pulled her back to him right then and there, would've asked her who had done this and held her the rest of the night and sought out the name she gave later. "Tess—"
She didn't give him time to finish and turned around, pulling her hair over her shoulder to reveal the entirety of her back to him.
It felt like his blood went cold and frozen in his veins, like he was looking out from somewhere other than his body as he ran his gaze down it.
And something like rage started to bubble deep inside whatever had just shut down upon seeing it.
The bolts... like a machine. There were receptor bolts in her as if she was something to be hooked up to. Rods running between them...
And the scars.
Allfathers damn him, the scars.
She's been cut so many times... cut, and whipped. Someone had taken a whip to her back and violently at that, the thick lines enough indication of the skin and flesh that had been torn off.
He was faintly aware of how his hands clenched at his sides, his eyes still only able to stare at everything that had been done to her.
At the pain and torture and medical abuse and Stars-knew what else she had been through and she hadn't told him...
Where were you?
Some voice in his head whispered, knowing full well there was no way he could've known...
He tasted lightning, felt it simmering, ready to strike. That line that he had crossed with Thanos—that line to the dark side of him that had been controlled enough with goodness—seemed like it would be easier to cross than ever now when he found who did this to her, but those thoughts died away when he saw her shaking. Saw how her shoulders curved inwards and she trembled, waiting for him to speak.
He pulled himself back from the torrent of emotions going on inside and took her by the shoulders more gently than he ever had before, even knowing full well what she was capable of and how strong she was—or had to be to survive this—it suddenly didn't matter.
He turned her around like she was made of water, getting her to face him, but she didn't look up.
His heart broke all over again when he saw how freely the tears were running from her eyes, how distraught she really was.
He suddenly realized why she had seemed so nervous about intimacy with him, even if she had that cocky, rebellious persona with so many other people, she was still just scared on the inside.
Now he could understand why Kraglin had been so protective of her. He knew. He knew what had been done to her and didn't want her to get hurt in any way again.
"Look at me," he whispered, tipping her chin up, his eyes soft and warm. She stiffened, sobbing once, but let him move her face up towards him even if she didn't open her eyes.
"I'm sorry," she said, tears flowing from her eyes more.
He put his forehead against hers and rubbed his hand against her back, her skin pebbled in the cool air of the room, his other caressing her cheek, his thumb brushing softly against the scars on her temple. "Shh, shh..." She sobbed again into his chest, her body still shaking, and he held her as gently-but-firmly as he could. "You have nothing to be sorry for."
She grasped the sides of his clothes, shuddering into his chest, savoring his warmth as it chased away the cold, but terrified still, his comfort making her want to cry more even if she found herself easing in his grasp.
He waited until her trembling died down, then slowly untangled from her a fraction, just enough to see her face, to look into those beautiful, ethereal eyes of hers that were so broken. "None of it is your fault, and you're more beautiful than you've ever been."
She shook her head. "You deserve someone better."
"No, I deserve much less." he whispered in a breath, running a finger through her hair.
She softened at his touch, for a moment not even considering how open she still was to him, but she found maybe it didn't matter anymore.
She tipped her head up and kissed his mouth tenderly, slowly letting it develop into something stronger. She didn't want to hide anymore. Didn't want to push him away. This was theirs, and she was his. She could trust him with everything and finally... finally she knew she was ready to give herself entirely away to someone willingly. Someone that she chose, and chose her for the right reasons.
Too long had she been forced to give herself—her mind, her soul, her body—and she had never wanted it.
She wanted this. Him.
"Show me," she whispered, her eyes hooded as she looked down at his lips, then flicked her gaze to his own.
He didn't need to ask her what she meant, not with how soft and smooth her voice sounded in that moment. He brushed the last of her tears away, then slowly ran his fingers down her chin, her neck, taking his time.
She arched into him a bit as he leaned down to brush his mouth against her neck, trailing his fingers down her bicep, turning his fingers to reach behind her shoulders, brushing the tips of them against the clasp of her bra.
His eyes met hers for confirmation, and when she didn't falter for a moment, he unclasped it slowly, letting it fall away and slide off her arms to the floor, he held eye contact with her to show her this was about her, really about her, before he did anything else.
She watched his eyes, finding how tenderly he looked at her enough to boost some form of confidence inside of her, despite the ugliness she felt laid beneath her clothes, beneath her skin, despite the mangled shell of a woman she saw herself as.
He seemed to hear her thoughts and want to prove her wrong as he looked down, his eyes darkening as he leaned down, brushing a whisper of a kiss against the ends of metal at her collarbone, running his mouth along her chest and placing those gentle little touches all along it.
She let out an uneven breath through her nose as his fingers came back around to her abdomen, stroking up it like she was the most precious thing to him, his fingers slowly working around her breast, his thumb caressing the tip until she shivered, going stiff with the foreign feeling inside her, a hotness at her core that had her near-trembling again.
He looked up to make sure she was okay, and at that moment of eye contact she snatched his face with both hands, pressing her mouth to his again, sweeping her tongue against his as if desperate, that tingle in her only growing more each second while she tasted him, storms and stars and something both righteous and sinful. Her heart began fluttering a hectic beat in her chest as hunger began settling into her.
She parted from him slightly, looking down at his clothed body, something primal and lustful growling in her, then started to take the buttons of his shirt, pulling them open from the top down, kissing him in between parting each one as he reached down to unclasp his belt, then his pants, letting them lay open as he spread his arms to let his shirt drop away.
Tess had to swallow again when he rolled his broad shoulders, need pulsing in her brain at the powerful ripples of his muscles beneath his skin. His hands found her waist, pulling her flush with him as they both stood there shirtless. She could hear his breathing getting faster, tighter, feel how much he truly wanted her pressing against her leg almost as firmly as she was pressed against him, see it tightening his pants as arousal hit her senses hard. She could smell it and sense it on him and it only worked her farther into the utter need for him already clearing her vision to see nothing but him, wetting her core with such heat she squeezed her thighs together. Every feeling was so... unknown. A little nerve-racking. But wonderful.
Running on an instinct that even her regeneration couldn't melt away, she ran her hands over his shoulders, down his chest, traced the lines of his abdomen, her fingers light and slow, silver eyes flicking up every so often to see his jaw ticking with restraint, then finally took the sides of his open pants in her fingers, meeting his eyes once more and finding the boost of surety to yank them down.
He stepped out of them wordlessly, claiming her mouth again as she grabbed his hands and placed them on her own belt-line.
"I'm yours to take," she whispered against his lips, grabbing and pressing his hands firm against her naval, feeling the way heat surged into her stomach and down her legs that were shaking now. The muscles in her thighs clenched so hard she thought they might have shifted at the feeling of his hands above them.
"Then let me treat you like the queen you are," he murmured, his voice like gentle thunder: deep and husky, his accent stroking against the tingling nerves that felt like they were on fire inside her. Her core pulsing with each breath. With that, he scooped her up, his hands under her thighs the way he had picked her up that first night when he had kissed her, then walked her towards the bed, kissing her mouth, her neck, her shoulders. She grasped the back of his neck, stroking his cheeks and head like she was about to sink her nails in and mark her territory.
She bit the shell of his ear softly, dragging her teeth down and tasting him, drawing out a low sound from him that made her jolt, and he lowered her to the bed like she was fragile, supporting her head as she laid down.
Tess was breathing heavily as she waited, extending her foot towards him in a lewd manner, prompting him to take off her pants. A little grin peeking out at her already-swollen lips.
He licked his lips in a way that sent her gasping (there is was, that primal part of him she loved so much) and took the sides of her waistband, pulling them down almost torturously slow.
She kicked them off faster, the growing desperation getting the better of her, and he dropped them out of his hand, roving his eyes over her appreciatively as her eyes glittered in the half-darkness.
He paused a moment as his fingers brushed the waistband of her undergarments, such a loving look in his eyes that told her even if she changed her mind right now, he wouldn't think anything less of her.
No one had ever looked at her like that before.
"I love you," she found herself whispering, as much as an answer as the truest thing she had ever said, just needing the three words out as he took his hand to her underwear. He kissed her again and she moaned into his mouth as he pulled them off, his other hand placing hers against his own waistband to remove his as well.
She couldn't open her eyes for the sensations going through her at the moment, the feel of his skin against hers, his knees on either side of her legs, his mouth on hers and treating her like she held the world as their tongues swept and danced against one another. His taste and smell and the feel of his hot skin against her own sending every hyper-sensitive nerve into a frenzy, but she pulled at the band if his undershorts, unable to help the primal urge that flooded her and before she knew it she was shredding the fabric away with the small sound of a reverberation from her hand, tossing the ruined fabric somewhere to her side, successfully unclothing him fully as he did the same to her.
Then he pulled back, away from her mouth, discarding her garments to the floor carelessly, and she took a moment to breathe after the pleasantly-suffocating kiss before flicking her gaze down, catching his eyes that were flooded with a look so irrevocably male that she lit on fire hotter as she took the entirety of him in. His beautiful face, so ruggedly handsome in a way that was both celestial and closer to nature than she could fathom, mundane and deity all at once. Then over the expanse of all the muscles bred of centuries of battle her mortal mind couldn't fathom, scars she wanted to trace, every inch of his golden skin she wanted to touch... her eyes finally moving lower...
Her mouth went dry, and she suddenly felt so young, so inexperienced and innocent as her eyes hooded. He was perfect, beautiful. Her eyes wouldn't move away as she took in the sight his length that stood upright just for her. The notion sent a pulse of dedication and humbling surprise through her heart that a god was being turned on by her. Suddenly she felt a lump grow in her throat before she looked back up and saw the truth in his eyes, that it was real. He wanted her. Wanted her for who she was. Not just her body, not just her power. For her.
"Damn..." she whispered, her voice barely a breath, and he smirked dubiously as she couldn't quite pull her gaze up and keep it there. Oh, stars... the size of him... The contrast of their sizes was something she just couldn't care about at the moment though. "A god indeed..." She smiled, biting her lip, her core giving a more demanding throb, begging to be filled by him, and as soon as she realized he was half-upright where she was still laid down she surged back up instantly, keen on getting her mouth and hands back on him as he sat up fully, on his knees before her, but he took her wrists in one hand and pushed her down, making her gasp as painless electricity surged through her, brushed up against her being with more-than-pleasant tingles as he leaned down again, claiming her neck with his mouth, her nose filling with his lavender and lightning scent, his elbow against her temple where his hand was still locked on both of hers over her head, and his other—
She shuddered as she felt his fingers brush down her abdomen, paying careful attention to her steel and her scars, caressing them. She took in a shaky breath as she felt his hand stroke down her thighs, touching the softer skin where her legs joined her midsection, making her shiver with the little sparks of lightning that kept dancing off his fingers as he touched her.
"Thor, please..." she mewled, almost squirming underneath him, panting with how badly she needed to touch him, to taste him everywhere and feel him everywhere inside and out.
He smiled again, that cockiness in his eyes but lit with genuine love and affection. "Patience, Starlight,"
Patience... how when every second now was the greatest torture she had ever known? She whimpered, pulsing as his fingers slid up her center, stroking her where she felt such a demanding, wet heat, and tipped her head up as his fingers spread her folds and slid through her entrance, dragging slow and firm. Tess gasped sharply, her jaw shuddering as he did it again, then again, dipping inside her once, twice. Shocks of pleasure jolted up her legs, making her muscles shiver.
"You're so beautiful," he murmured, his voice robust and majestic against her ears as she trembled with every sense making everything ten times more amplified than it was. His thumb suddenly pressed against a spot above her entrance, sending a jolt of pleasure through her body so hot she tasted it.
She shuddered out a moan that had him jerking against her leg, the hot, firm feeling of his cock making her skin prickle and glimmer with silver, more sparks writhing down his body and then to hers, disappearing into her flesh that was sent glittering at the way her power awoke with the heat and pleasant pressure that bloomed faster in her stomach at the touch of his fingers against those nerves of pleasure just inside her folds.
She felt sweat beading on the backs of her knees, her neck, and she sucked in a breath, arching up when he pressed on her again. Her arms glistened suddenly, silver ripples encasing his hand over her wrists, his lightning dancing through it like it would through a storm cloud, joining with hers, and she pushed back against him, bucking her hips up as her neck did the same, desperate by now and just needing him, the pressure inside her so intense it almost hurt. "Oh, gods..." she rasped, swallowing and exhaling a shuddering moan.
He leaned down and kissed her again, his mouth ravenous and devouring, and she met him movement for movement.
"I love you," he whispered against her lips, brushing his own down her jaw. "More than I've ever loved anything in a thousand years." He needed her to know that, needed her to understand that this moment was not only about the pleasure, but to prove to her she was everything he wanted. That he had no plans to ever live without her, and that he saw her as someone worth the adoration, of the careful time spent.
And even if she told him no right now, he would wait a thousand more years if it meant she stayed with him. He would do anything.
The realization of just how far he would go, of how many rules he would break for her, knocked the wind out of him. But he didn't regret it. Didn't hesitate.
She shivered at his words, at the sheer power and cosmic force of him—at knowing a god was breaking her apart so fast like this. That a king loved her, was worshipping her, a mortal, a criminal. For just a moment, she threw every horrible thing she thought of herself out into the darkness that couldn't pierce this light she felt. "I'm yours," she breathed, brushing her nose up against his neck. "Take me like the conquest of a king."
"Yes, My Queen." He said with such reverence into her flesh, making her hold her breath as he locked his gaze with her own, her eyes set glimmering. She felt him enter her, slowly, as if they had all the time in the world. She arched at the sudden pressure, the stretch, her breath shivering out at the foreign and wonderful feeling. Like the most perfect pain she had ever been in.
His eyes hooded, the edges going brighter as he finally let out a small, husky noise and claimed her from the inside, settling all the way down into her warm softness, letting her adjust, yet filling her with his power, lightning absorbing into her skin as he kissed her forehead and moved.
She threw her head back at the perfect fullness in her at that moment, his mouth going to her neck, her power jolting, roaring with his as he released her wrists, and she instantly clawed into his shoulders, forcing herself closer. Joining them deeper.
Lightning skittered along his skin to hers again as he began to thrust, slow and careful at first, holding her eyes with his, knowing this was all new and unknown to her, holding her cheek with his one hand and her hip with his other. "You're perfect," he whispered, lips grazing the shell of her ear.
"More," she answered, the sensations so wonderful as her nerves sang and heated all along her body, the walls of her suddenly on perfect fire, the intense pressure robbing her of clear thoughts, but at the same time demanding more. More speed, more strength, more of him.
Tess was gasping as she squeezed his shoulders, his arms, his mouth finding hers again as he kept ravishing her, harder each time, leeching her of all control. Feeling how his skin grew hotter than her own, but hers still began to glisten with sweat the same as his did. She was not even registering the way she kept pushing her hips up to meet him, a need inside her awakening for more as she felt the knot inside her coiling tighter and tighter so much that she was beginning to feel disconnected from herself, like she was being carried off into the celestial part of him as her power scratched at his own. Her heart had kicked into an unsteady beat, and she whimpered and buried her face in his shoulder, rolling her hips to satiate that demanding ache inside her, that pressure that felt like it was both coming to her and waiting for her to get there, but she tried to focus on the places he kept brushing and shoving against as he drove in and out of her, different nerve endings firing off in too many places to keep track. She bit her lip and wanted to sob, the emotions raging as fast as everything else, knowing that he chose her the most amazing part of it all. That he wanted her this way, that her first time got to be with someone who loved her so incomprehensibly, and who she loved more than her darkened heart could ever contain.
He grunted softly each time he came back to her, savoring each pretty little noise she kept making, the way she kept shuddering out his name, almost twin to the way he kept huffing out hers.
She jerked and gasped at a bolt of pleasure so hot she thrummed, clawing her hands into his dampened lower back to prompt him go harder, her toes curling against her feet, a stream of curses spilling out of her mouth suddenly as she felt likely to implode with the feeling inside her. All of her gave a hard clench, if only to feel more of him inside her. "More, please... Don't stop. Flark, don't stop."
He picked up the pace and smirked at her through soft pants, at that filthy mouth that he had grown so fond of, now slightly open and panting and moaning through her swollen lips, at those beautiful eyes full of the Galaxy, shielded by her fluttering eyelashes, and the woman of battle and silver moonlight that they belonged to.
The woman of starlight and fire that was raging and lighting in every part of her. The woman that was tearing him apart and she didn't even know it, her every breath building some kind of stronghold in his heart that swore she was his forever, and at the same moment shoved him closer to his release the way he could feel her chasing hers. "Come for me, love." he murmured, the way her eyebrows arched telling him she was so close, but unsure. Thrusting into her fast enough that indecent sounds left in their wake, skin on skin and the slight thrum and crackle of their powers. "Come for me."
She felt the pressure begin to be almost overwhelming at her core, her heart beating frantic and desperate as he kept bringing her closer and closer, his skin hitting hers again and again and making her let out a stifled whimper as she clutched the sides of his neck.
She had never felt something like this before... it was too much... she was going to fall into nothing—shatter. In a way it was terrifying, but exciting.
"It's alright, Darling, don't fight it..." he whispered through his own ragged breaths, pressing his thumb to her jaw, comforting her in this moment he knew she had never known, despite feeling himself get closer with each passing second. "It's alright."
She took in a few more sharp breaths, one with each drive of their hips, fast and broken, then felt herself erupt in every perfect way possible, her body feeling like it fell and flew at the same moment. And she felt him come as soon as she did.
She cried out, her back arching, her hands flying to his face as her power surged, desperate for something to grab on to, his own body seeming to rumble like thunder as he cracked over her with his lightning, their powers joining and exploding as their bodies did, and a growl broke from his throat as he found his own release the moment she did and she threw her mouth against his, hearing the thunder groan outside as he filled her with his seed.
Silver lightning crackled around them, the two of them merging into one in that moment, her hair bursting outward as her eyes glowed bright beneath her tightly-shut eyes, his half-open to reveal the electric blue they were as he kept moving, but slowing into a leisurely pace as he finished emptying into her and drying her of every last bit of pleasure.
Slowly, the thick air of lightning striking steel subsided, and they were left panting in one another arms, Tess going boneless in his strong grasp, feeling safe and protected enough to do so.
His strong grasp that was shivering... something she never thought someone like her could elicit in one so powerful. "You really are a little enchantress, aren't you?" he whispered, his voice low and husky. "Look what you do to me."
She huffed a breathless laugh, tilting her head back up at him, and he prodded her nose. She snapped her teeth at his finger playfully.
"You wicked, beautiful woman." He rested his forehead against hers, his breath coming in short little pants against her own as he lazily stroked his hand down her body and kissed the metal clasp on her collarbone. "You're the most beautiful thing in the Universe," he murmured against her skin, a smile in his voice as much as it was on his face.
She was still busy trying to catch her breath from what she had just experienced, but smiled anyways, taking the sides of his head so she could look into his eyes. She bit her lip, amazed at how she could be so lucky and be pressed against this king—her god and her beautiful warrior of a man—and that she could end up with someone who fit all the pieces of her just right. "I think you bring out the best in me." she whispered back, her eyes thoughtful, amazed, twining her fingers through the top of his hair.
His eyes softened, that claiming love still there, but much less ravenous, and he reached up to take her hand that was still caressing his scalp, kissing her knuckles.
Tess smiled, exhausted suddenly, even if her heart was still beating fast, her body now shivering from the way her damp skin was left chilled by her exposure despite Thor's heat warming her where he hovered over her.
But she was happy... so, so happy.
As if she wasn't the Queen of a hundred Ravager Clans and joining with the General of the Skrulls to fight a possible war against whoever had taken Knowhere, as if she hadn't just lost half the people she cared about, she was happy. Despite it all life had never seemed brighter. None of it seemed to matter or exist in her world right now.
Nothing existed but the two of them. If only for a moment.
Thor noticed her skin raising from the chill air, and pulled away from her, making her shut her eyes for a moment at the feeling when he pulled out, leaving her feeling suddenly empty, but she watched him with tired, satisfied eyes as he got to his knees, taking a towel from beside the bed and spreading her knees apart to wipe her down a bit, making her flinch at the overstimulation and draw a small chuckle from him, smiling sleepily herself.
When he finished, he retrieved the blanket off the floor where it had ended up and laid it over her, kissing the bridge of her nose as he tucked it up to her chin, joining her beneath it a moment later.
She smiled as he laid back down beside her, and scooted over to be flush with him again, facing him and sighing contentedly as he wrapped his arms around her, planting a soft kiss on her head as he settled and began to play with her hair.
"Promise me forever?" she whispered against his chest, her nose brushing against the hard muscle.
His heart pricked briefly at knowing it wouldn't be forever... that she would be gone in the equivalent of months in his lifetime, just a whisper in the lengthy song of his life, but he didn't care. He meant what he said, he would rather love her now for less than a hundred years than live millennias with never knowing her. "Forever, my love."

The thunder rumbled in the distance as the skies of New Asgard reflected the storm brewing within Thor Odinson's heart. He stood at the edge of a cliff, the sea crashing below, his figure outlined by the last fading rays of sunlight. You stood beside him, arms wrapped around yourself against the cold wind, but it wasn't the chill of the weather that made your heart ache. It was the moment you both knew had to come.
"Thor," you whispered, breaking the silence.
He glanced at you, his bright blue eyes clouded with emotions he struggled to suppress. His golden hair, tousled by the wind, framed his face in soft, unruly waves, making him appear both godlike and heartbreakingly human.
"Why does it have to be this way?" you asked, voice barely audible over the roar of the sea.
He sighed, looking back out over the horizon. "Duty calls me away once again. There are realms that need protecting, and I must answer the call. I wish—" He stopped, jaw clenched, his words heavy with regret.
You stepped closer, placing a hand on his arm, feeling the warmth beneath the cool surface of his armor. "I understand, Thor. I always have." Your voice trembled despite your attempt to sound strong. "But knowing doesn't make it any easier."
His eyes softened, and for a moment, Thor allowed himself to be vulnerable. "You have been my strength in ways I never knew I needed," he said, his voice low and tender. "But I am not meant for the simple life. I have responsibilities that stretch beyond this world."
You blinked back tears, unwilling to show weakness, even now. "I know. And I'm proud of you. But that doesn't mean I won't miss you."
He turned to face you fully now, towering over you, yet his presence felt comforting. Thor reached out, his large hand cupping your cheek, brushing away a tear you hadn't realized had fallen.
"I will miss you as well," he murmured, his thumb gently stroking your skin. "More than you know."
For a long moment, neither of you spoke. The world around you seemed to slow as if it, too, was trying to delay the inevitable parting.
Finally, you broke the silence, forcing a smile despite the ache in your chest. "Thanks for the memories," you said softly. "I will never forget you."
Thor’s hand dropped to his side, but his gaze held yours, full of emotions he would never fully express. "Nor I you," he replied, voice thick with unspoken sentiment. "In every battle, in every storm, I will carry the memory of you with me."
The wind howled as if in protest, but there was nothing left to say. Thor turned, his hammer Mjolnir gleaming in the fading light as he prepared to leave. You watched him, standing strong, though your heart felt like it was shattering into pieces.
And then, with a final look back, Thor leaped into the sky, disappearing into the storm, leaving behind nothing but the echo of thunder—and the memory of what could never be.
You stood alone on the cliff, the wind tugging at your hair, the sea roaring below, and in the silence that followed, you whispered into the fading dusk: "Goodbye, Thor."

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the city, but the light felt distant to you. Today was your birthday, a day that once brought you joy, but now it felt like a weight pressing down on your heart. You sat on your bed, surrounded by half-wrapped gifts and colorful decorations that seemed to mock your mood.
You stared at your phone, watching as friends sent their cheerful messages, but the words felt hollow. It was hard to celebrate when you felt so empty inside. You missed the laughter, the excitement, the feeling of being cherished. Instead, you found yourself wrapped in a heavy blanket of melancholy.
Just then, a soft knock echoed through your apartment. You didn’t move at first, unsure if you wanted company. But the door creaked open, and in walked Thor, his presence filling the room with warmth and light.
“Greetings, my friend!” he boomed, his bright smile instantly brightening the atmosphere. “I have come to celebrate with you on this most special day!”
You managed a small smile, though it didn’t reach your eyes. “Thanks, Thor. But I’m not really in the mood for a celebration.”
He frowned slightly, his brow furrowing with concern. “Nonsense! Every birthday deserves a celebration, even if it is just with one friend.” He stepped closer, his large frame towering over you as he knelt down to your level. “What troubles you?”
You sighed, looking away. “It’s just… I thought I’d feel different today. I thought I’d be happy, but I just feel… sad. Like I’m not where I’m supposed to be.”
Thor’s expression softened, and he placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. “It is understandable to feel this way. Birthdays can be bittersweet reminders of time passing and changes in our lives.” He paused, searching for the right words. “But know this: you are not alone. You have friends who care for you deeply.”
Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes, and you shook your head. “I know, but it feels like everyone is moving on with their lives, and I’m just… stuck.”
Thor’s eyes sparkled with compassion. “Sometimes, we all feel lost, even among friends. But remember, it is okay to feel this way. It does not define who you are or diminish your worth. You are strong, and your journey is unique to you.”
You met his gaze, feeling the warmth of his reassurance wrap around you like a comforting blanket. “I just wanted today to be special.”
He smiled, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Then let us make it special together! We shall feast, and I will share tales of my adventures. We can laugh, and I shall remind you of the beauty in the world.”
A genuine smile began to break through your sadness. “You really think we can turn this around?”
“Absolutely!” He stood, extending a hand to you. “Come! We shall summon a feast worthy of the gods!”
You took his hand, feeling the strength of his spirit seep into you. As you stood up, the weight on your heart began to lift, and you felt a flicker of hope. Maybe today could be different after all.
As you walked out of your room, Thor led the way, his laughter echoing through the halls. In that moment, you realized that even on your saddest days, friendship could shine a light, reminding you that you were never truly alone

The Avengers' compound was always a buzz of activity, but you preferred the quiet moments, those rare instances where the chaos of saving the world simmered down and you could simply breathe. Thor had been off-world for a while, handling some important Asgardian matters, and you hadn’t seen him in days.
You missed him more than you cared to admit. He had this energy, this presence that filled every room he entered. You’d found yourself looking forward to those moments where he would flash his disarming smile, the way his booming laughter would echo down the halls, or the soft way he’d sometimes look at you, like you were his anchor in a world of storms.
But today was quiet. Too quiet.
You wandered down the halls until you found yourself outside his room, the door ajar. Curiosity got the better of you, and before you realized it, you had stepped inside. His room smelled faintly of the forest after rain, a natural, calming scent that reminded you of him. His bed was large and inviting, adorned with furs and soft blankets—things that made him feel more at home away from Asgard.
Without really thinking, you made your way to his bed and sat down, running your hand over the furs. You closed your eyes for a moment, imagining what it would be like to have Thor back, to hear his voice and feel his presence again. The bed felt comforting, and before you knew it, you were sprawled out across it, your body sinking into its warmth.
You didn’t hear the door open.
“Do I wanna know what you’re doing on my bed?”
The deep, amused voice startled you, and your eyes flew open. Thor stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame with a smirk tugging at his lips. His arms were crossed over his broad chest, his golden hair slightly tousled, and his piercing blue eyes locked onto you.
Your face flushed immediately, and you scrambled to sit up, looking for a good excuse. “I-I was just… checking… if it’s comfortable?”
Thor’s smirk widened into a full grin as he stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. “Aye, it is rather comfortable, isn’t it?” He moved closer, his boots thudding softly against the floor. “Though, I wasn’t aware my bed was up for inspection.”
“I didn’t mean to—” you started, but the look in his eyes made your words falter. He sat down beside you, the mattress dipping slightly under his weight, and you couldn’t help but notice how close he was. The warmth radiating off him was magnetic, pulling you in even though you knew you should probably move away.
“I’m not angry, love,” Thor said softly, his voice dropping an octave as he gazed at you. “If anyone should be enjoying the comforts of my bed, it should be you.”
Your heart skipped a beat at the way he said “you,” as though the idea had been on his mind long before you’d wandered into his room. He reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear, his touch feather-light.
You tried to play it cool, but the intensity of his gaze was impossible to ignore. “Are you saying I have permission to sleep in your bed from now on?” you teased, trying to hide how flustered you were.
Thor’s smile softened, and he leaned in just a bit closer, his lips hovering near your ear. “Only if you promise to let me join you.”
Your breath caught in your throat, the playful banter suddenly giving way to something much deeper. You turned your head slightly, meeting his gaze, and the air between you seemed to hum with electricity.
“Well,” you whispered, your lips dangerously close to his, “I think I can agree to that.”
Before you knew it, his lips were on yours, gentle at first, as though testing the waters. But when you kissed him back, it was as though a dam had broken, and all the longing you both had kept hidden spilled over. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you closer as if he couldn’t stand the thought of any distance between you.
The kiss was a storm—fierce, electrifying, and consuming. When you finally pulled away, breathless, you could see the hunger in his eyes.
“I missed you, Thor,” you admitted softly, your hand resting against his chest.
“And I, you,” he murmured, pressing his forehead to yours. “I think I’ve missed you more than I ever realized.”

You shivered, though the demon’s tongue was warm against your bare skin, tracing a line that made your stomach twist with revulsion. The shadows of other demons crowded the room, their eyes gleaming, their anticipation palpable.
“Have you chosen to speak yet, little one?” he murmured, leaning close. His sharp teeth caught the light, glinting like knives. “Silence won’t save you.”
“Oh, fuck off!” you hissed, every muscle taut with pain. “You’re a fool if you think I’ll betray him.”
A flicker of delight crossed his face. “Thor… alive, after all,” he whispered, scanning the room before zeroing in on you. “You’re cleverer than the last weak thing I had on this rack.”
Agony lanced through your limbs as the shackles tightened, the metal biting into flesh when he pressed the lever at your foot. “I’d be a fool to give up my husband! Go to hell!”
He leaned closer, and the stench of his rancid breath made bile rise in your throat. “Perhaps,” he said softly, almost contemplatively, “but life… life could be yours, should you speak.”
“What could you possibly want with him?” you spat, tears stinging your eyes. “He’s no one of importance—just a poor man from my village.”
“He owes me,” the demon purred, his grin wide and cruel. “Souls. And you… clever little one… hid him from me. Tell me, would the charm end if you die here?” His knife pressed sharply against your ribs, cold and unforgiving.
“Yes!” you gasped, a sob catching in your throat. “If I die, the spell ends. He becomes visible again. Please… just let me go!”
“Do you care to live, little one?” he asked, voice low and hungry. “Seems not, since you protect a lowly soldier who ran from his duties.”
“He’s in the village… the bookshop!” you choked out. “A crevice by the history bookshelf—place your hand there, and his hiding place will reveal itself!”
He laughed softly, a sound that made your blood run cold, sending his men scuttling off to fetch Thor. You thought of him—how he cherished his sanctuary of books, how he had made terrible bargains without knowing the cost: a steady stream of innocent souls, the debt piling higher with every missed month.
You had been captured hours ago, every second filled with pain, humiliation, and torment. Sexual abuse, physical torture, emotional cruelty—it had been relentless. Now, alone, shackled to the cold table, you wept quietly, the room heavy with the echoes of your screams and the looming dread of what was to come.
