SAURON PORTRAYED AS MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

In Christian ethos, many different angels serve God. One of them is Michael the Archangel who leads God's army in the war against the red dragon Satan when he threatens to devour the divine child at the moment of his birth, who is none other than Jesus Christ. This powerful angel dwells at the right hand of God, a symbol that has persisted for thousands of years to convey God's noble goals. It is also attested in scripture that Jesus Christ stands at God's right hand at the great hour of judgment, which has led some theologians to interpret that Michael is actually Jesus in a different form. This is also plausibly reinforced by the meaning of Michael, which is 'Who is like God?' (Quis sicut Deus? in Latin). Their positioning at God's right hand has to do with how God was historically perceived as originating from the northern direction via the pole star, seen in the image of an All-Seeing Eye when all stars are observed as circumnavigating around the constant pole star at its center. When this eye-symbol of God looks down on Earth from the north, it is the western direction relative to our view that is thus His right hand. This direction sees the sunset into the western horizon where the glorious underworld exists, a place where all mortals should strive for their souls to travel in order to find paradise, as opposed to the eastern sunrise since it is the material realm of this world. All this ties in with the lore of the returned King Arthur as echoed in medieval British lore.

Bonus Fact: Friday is named after Odin’s wife Frigg, who was often associated with Venus, the Roman goddess of love, beauty and fertility. As for Saturday, Germanic and Norse traditions didn’t assign any of their gods to this day of the week. They instead chose to retain the Roman name and meaning, which translates to “Saturn’s day.” 🪐

It's been a stormy night here and is looking like it plans to continue throughout today. I love windy days 😊

But also....

Well, I'm on furlough today, then working on Friday. But then I have a 3 day weekend cos I'm on furlough again on Monday. I have to comment on how weird furlough feels. But it is what it is and one can only hope things improve 💜🙏

Thor’s Day: Hard Work

Thursday is Thor’s Day. Today is about making that big push. You’ve been working hard, waiting for the right moment to finish something up. Now it’s time to finally get to it and get it done. To at least make a goal for yourself. 

Look at everything you have done, all of it is progress towards your one goal, or the many goals you have set for yourself. Alternatively, today is also about examining that and trying to hone your skills. Do some form of practice work, or try to finish a big project. Do something today and accomplish it, even if you started it today. If you’ve been putting off working out for example, do it, set yourself a limit and perform it within the time you allotted for yourself. Even if you don’t finish it, work on it a little bit longer than usual. These goals you have for yourself, they’re about you, about your future. They shouldn’t fit to the standards of others. Make sure that what ever you are doing, is coming from the heart and will of your own. Be proud of your work, but not arrogant.
