Hello everybody, I hope we’re all doing well, let’s have an Audio Drama Sunday!

💀 Jessica Best is a gosh dang genius. I want to know exactly how they got ahold of the idea of Storm What Makes Everything Black and White. What a fantastic idea. Anyway, this week’s episode of @worldgonewrongpod was great, and I’m really enjoying this arc where Jamie is engaging in civics and Malik is on a quest to fix his brain. Let’s go, making the world a little better.

🦬 newwwwwww album from @woebegonepod! I really don't talk enough about how good the music is for Woe.Begone to begin with, but I love it when there's a new American Bison. It did make me think thoughts and feel feelings, Dylan. Good job.

🚀 Every single episode of @monstrousproductions' Travelling Light is about seeing new things and engaging with new cultures and finding a sense of wonder, and I felt that especially with this latest episode. I have been thinking a lot about how reverence for small things and precious things builds up to a sort of mental fortitude. If you know the value of the small task in front of you, it makes it easier to know the value of everything else, and to keep doing the things that you have the capability of doing. This ship decorated with the multicolored patches of time, repaired with the reverence of a temple, resonated with me. (And also, the second half was delicious, this relationship the traveller is in is so messy.)

🦠 This week I picked up THORB! The Heresies of Radulf Burntwine is exactly the kind of fantasy I like, where our narrator mentions all the cosmology and worldbuilding with a disdain that is both entertaining and really telling to his characterization. The descriptions of classic fantasy monsters as having (treatable!!) diseases are so fascinating. It feels like @vestaclinicpod's fantasy twin. I am early days yet, so I'm excited to learn more about Radulf. Frikkin nerdy weirdo. I love him.

Folks, I have been keeping my eye out for quite a while but for such a queer space, I really haven't had any luck in finding any intersex rep (let alone good/interesting rep) in the horror audiodrama space, so does anybody have recommendations? Also looking for more audiodramas with a mostly non-white cast and crew (the amount of almost entirely white casts/crews is.. irritating to say the least) so I would appreciate recs there too! I am almost caught up on Hi Nay and looking for my next target if u can't tell, lmao.

LISTEN I love grumpy grandpa Radulf Burntwine as much as the next guy but he needs to calm down. His apprentice 1) follows him undetected for hundreds of miles, 2) breaks down a door, 3) goes toe to toe with the VAMPIRE THAT LITERALLY JUST RIPPED OPEN RADULF'S THROAT, 4) OVERPOWERS AND KILLS SAID VAMPIRE 5) WITHOUT BECOMING INFECTED BY ALL ONE WILLIAM OF HIS DISEASES, and 6) brings Radulf back from the brink of death through the arts he learned at Radulf's feet and all Rad has to say is, "how dare you kill a man who has been alive for three hundred years. We could have learned so much at least you preserved his corpse you fool" like bitch??? You've been berating that selfsame man for not killing himself to spare others suffering for 50 minutes why are you mad????
