it’s the difference between socially acceptable and medically acceptable. like you shouldn’t ever be considered less valuable based on your weight, but your weight is a factor that can affect your health.

oh yeah exactly but then there are social justice warriors who are like "NO LOOK AT THIS OBESE/ANOREXIC PERSON. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL [which they are] AND THIS IS OKAY" and it's mostly the latter part which i have a problem with bc being on either extreme end of the weight scale is, bluntly, pretty dangerous

like i could name a few people in the public eye (which i won't bc i'm not opening myself up to that shitstorm) whose weight is completely unhealthy and is most definitely not okay

but hey, they're beautiful and that's all society cares about right

You do amazing work and I think it's awful that people don't credit you for it. It seems to be some sort of epidemic on tumblr, artists getting their work stolen.

Thank you for the support, I really appreciate it :) And it definitely seems to be an epidemic on this site, people have a complete and total lack of respect towards artist, whether they create gifs/edits/fanart/fanfiction, everything is considered public property from the moment you put it online, which is such a shame. And it just seems to be getting progressively worse, there's so many people on this site who keep reblogging blatant reposts :/

It is definitely for me. Why should I bother making something, when many people just want it for their memes, but don't give any credit to the work behind it? I feel so damn disrespected at times.

I think every graphic maker on this site has encountered those thoughts at least once, I try to raise some awareness under my followers, but I feel like I'm tilting at windmills, Don Quixote-style. There's such a lack of respect on this site, not only from the reposters themselves, but the many people who reblog those blatant reposts as well. They should know better than that.

it would be nice if staff would, you know, do something about it.

The staff doesn't seem to care much about their artist, sure, they do delete a repost rather swiftly (in a matter of a few hours at least) when you report it to them, but other than that, the reposters get no repercussions whatsoever. They could at least have them freeze their account for a couple of days, but apparently that's not a priority for the staff :/

I really feel for you sarah and other awesome gifmakers and editors out there who spends so much time working on these things only to have them discredited and neglected. I've seen those posts and I cringe every time.

Thank you Ira, it is indeed very painful to see other people get all the credit for something you have made, the worst part is that people (reposters and the people who reblog the blatant reposts) don't seem to care, at all, what they're doing to the original makers.

*hugs* I'm sorry people can be so inconsiderate that way . . . It's neither fair nor respectful. It stinks. Just a grammar thing to help you though - that who's in the last part should be whose instead. Just a little thing.

Oh haha, you're right, that should've been 'whose', it's the kind of mistake I would have never made if I hadn't been so angry at that moment :p But yes, those people (especially the ones who don't apologise but try to make up stupid excuses) really get my blood boiling (and it takes a lot to get me angry, so kudos for them for getting me to that point, that's quite an achievement ;)

ok I have this headcanon that natasha and steve are basically the fred and george of the avengers (they have such a strong platonic relationship that they're practically siblings anyway) and they plague stark tower with endless stupid pranks. and everyone is sure it's clint doing it.

this is so perfect because all im seeing is steve and nat pulling a prank on tony and tony storming out of his lab screaming his head off about how he's gonna break all of clint's bows and make him eat them thinking it was clint who pranked him but when he gets to the living room clint is passed out on the couch with a half empty pizza box on his chest and his mouth hanging open while a line of drool is making its way down his chin and tony is just like ???????????how? and all you hear in the back is nat and steve's giggling

I think the issue lies with him. Not you. His girlfriend has reasons to not trust him maybe? Or he's over compensating because he feels guilty and using his gf as a shield XD

Next time you should see him/them ask them what's going on. Tell them flat out in possibly the worse way for them and if they can't give you a decent answer, smile with satisfaction and say "And with that, I'm off to destroy Jotunheim".

Yes, it's probably the best if I just ask them if and what is going on. This way it's just strange and I have no idea what's going on or what to do about it. :/
