So what is this Liam Neessan thing?

From what we gathered, it's just a fun, silly way of labeling the 5K's people are running to enter a Fitblr challenge.

The original poster (sorry I don't have the link) said they get bored with their races so they name them after celebrities. And since Liam Neeson is one cool dude, I guess the name fits. ;)

The only time I saw (part of) Excalibur was quite accidental at the tender age of 10 or 11. My memory of the memory is probably worse than the reality, but I just remember being so traumatized by the violence that it never occurred to me to watch it again. I had this problem with The Godfather as well, which I did end up re-watching in my 20s and understood it much better.

So perhaps it's time to go back and rewatch Excalibur? Except that it's not on Netflix streaming! Oh, the humanity.

Since I can't answer replies directly (what gives Tumblr?), I'm going to answer them publicly! Here we go:

You can find the base recipe that I used for the beef and barley soup right here. It's a great starting recipe and I've been commissioned to make more but with mushrooms. Also, I used a bit more barkley than she did and mine puffed up and ended up making more of a stew than a soup in the end. It's so satisfying, I can't stop eating it.

SAUCE BOSS!!!! To end the summer, my best friend's boyfriend (aka best friend in law) and I have a BBQ sauce battle royale at my cottage. There are no rules, your sauce just has to get more votes to win. Last year, it was battle chicken wing. I lost by one point. Last weekend was battle pork, I lost again by one point. Next year is battle beef and I'm planning on beating him by 2 points. I owe him that. 

It's an amazing weekend full of laughter and cooking and it's turning into my favorite event of the year!

1) I was just discussing this! I would have to say Urinetown, Anyone Can Whistle, Hair, or Dreamgirls. (...er, you did say favorites, right?)

2)Hmm. Right now it would be Where Have You Been by Rihanna or We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift.

...don't judge me!

3) I actually have! For NaNoWriMo. I've tried two years in a row, with no success. I'm not meant to write a book, haha.

4)Nothing yet! Still working on that.
