Do you ever reread fics, and if so, what are some of your favorites to go back and reread?
Hi there, Nonnie!
(I’m assuming you’re asking about Marvel/MCU fics, so my answer is related only to that fandom. :D)
The short answer is no, almost never.
The long answer is, there are some fics where I will go back & reread a certain section or part, especially if it’s inspiration for something I’m working on, but I rarely RARELY go back and reread entire fics. Mostly, I only bookmark fics so I can rec them to people later on.
In fact, the only Bucky/Steve fics I have saved in my Kindle (that weren’t written for me as gifts) are @bactaqueen‘s Home of the Brave series, Uncharted by @disappointme and Ampersand by @kaydeefalls (none of these should shock anyone who knows me & has heard me talk about my love for these fics)
But, that being said, there are a few fics that have warranted a reread or two, for one reason or another - most of these are Stucky, but a few aren’t, so pay attention to the pairings. These are in no order, btw, and some are fics I’ve recc’d before:

Happy Reading!!!! <3 (And because Tumblr tagging is weird, if you know any of the authors who aren’t tagged, please let them know!)
Tony: Hey, if you work some of your “magic” on me, I’ll teach you a thing or two about “science.” *wink wink, nudge nudge*
Thor: You keep using those words. I do not think they mean what you think they mean.
Tony: Oh, I think so. ;)
Thor: After you’ve slept off the mead, perhaps we’ll discuss it further. *Pats shoulder and leads to the couch so he can sleep there*
A little ThunderIron, ( IronThunder, or Thorny or whatever you prefer calling it) blend I made on photoshop. I found out today that the beloved Lion King song "Can you feel the love tonight" actually has a second version that is much more beautiful than the movie one... and damn, the lyrics are perfect for these two... Can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer That we've got this far Can you feel the love tonight? How it's laid to rest It's enough to make kings and vagabonds Believe the very best It's enough to make kings and vagabonds Believe the very best Βoth Thor and Tony Stark are Marvel characters, portrayed in the MCU by Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. "Can you feel the love tonight" is by Elton John. (Although I have to admit, the cover by Caleb Hyles ft. Malinda Kathleen Reese is possibly the best version of this song --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq5ZUAWkHh4) I own NOTHING.
TIPPY!! CAN YOU DO BODYSWAP TONY/THOR?!?!?!?!? :D
Tony cannot stop staring at his arms.
Well, not *his* arms, to be perfectly precise. But for the moment they’re his, and he keeps flexing them, making eyes at himself in the mirror, sending little kisses to his reflection with a god’s mouth and a flamboyant palm.
"It is disconcerting to see my body doing that." Thor sits upright, stiffly, on the bed behind him. "We should really discuss how to undo this enchantment."
"Relax," Tony says, grinning at Thor through the mirror. "The cure will wait. We should have some fun with this." He gyrates Thor’s hips, makes a few obscene motions. "Damn, but I look good."
Thor looks at Tony’s hand. “And I am … small.”
"Hey, now."
"I meant no offense." He gets up and hooks one hand under the end of the bed, then pulls, straining. "Is this always so heavy to you?"
"Yeah, sorry," Tony says, "Can’t lift beds up with one hand. Come to think of it, I pretty much have the brains AND the brawn at the moment. Tough luck for you."
"At the least, I’m good-looking," Thor says, a grin breaking through on Tony’s lips.
Tony laughs. “Can’t argue with that.”
He turns and approaches Thor. They’ve stood like this, shoulder to shoulder, many other times, but Thor’s never had to look up at Tony before, and seeing his own face this closely makes him take a quick step back. “You’re thinking something indecent,” he accuses.
"Can you blame me?" Tony slides a hand up Thor’s (his) arm. "I am a pretty hot piece of ass. And it’s not like you’re not interested."
Thor looks down at the tent in Tony’s pants. “By the gods,” he says, “you’re quick to excitement.”
"I may have the brains and brawn right now," Tony says, "but you’ve got something even better: my nerve endings."
Thor cocks his head. “Meaning?”
"Meaning, don’t you want to find out why I make so much damn noise when I’m riding you?"
"I—" Thor tries to step backward again, and ends up falling to a sitting position on the bed. Tony stands above him, leering, and Thor can see his own eyes twinkling with mischief.
"C’mon," Tony says. "I know you’ll like it."
Thor grabs his hands to pull him down. “I know you will, too.”
So my question to you, Typey, is do I continue this and write the porn? Or leave it as it is?
"I don't see what's wrong with my battle regalia," Thor says as Tony (with some difficulty) pulls off one of the shoulder plates bedecking said regalia. "It's served me well in many an official royal function." "Yeah, well, this function's not royal," Tony mutters, trying to pry up the other shoulder plate, "except for a royal pain in my behind, so if I'm going to attend it I'm not going to do it alone, and you, big fella--" he pats Thor's shoulder, running his fingers down briefly to the blade and back up again, "are going to be my date whether you like it or not." "I'm not opposed," Thor says after a moment of thought. "Then why aren't you helping me -- ngh -- get this armor off?" "Isn't it obvious?" Thor's grin is wide. "I rather like watching you try." Tony harrumphs and steps back. "Well, never mind, I'm not going to bother--" He's stopped by Thor's arms, sliding around his waist and meeting at the small of his back, pulling him in. "Besides," Thor murmurs a breath away from Tony's mouth, "if I'm to disrobe, I'd prefer there to be some profit in it before I'm dressed up again for the benefit of your holdsharers--" "Shareholders," Tony corrects, patting the breastplate of Thor's armor. "And nobody said there'd be no profit." "Oh?" Thor smiles slyly and steals a kiss-- soft, deliberate, slow-- from Tony's lips. "Yeah," Tony says, breathing into his mouth. "Haven't I taught you the phrase 'fashionably late'?" (inspired by this)
typeytypeytypey asked you: Tony/Thor -- Sparta.
"That's the problem with you lot-- you're all meat, no brains," Tony declares derisively, and though the other warriors scoff at him, Thor sidles up to him and says, "I happen to know you're fonder of meat than you say, clever one."
zekkass asked you: Whatever fandom/pairing you'd like, 'secret identities'
"I think about going where nobody knows us," Tony says, swinging his arm ... or trying, at least; his fingers are interlaced with Thor's, and Thor's arm is pretty much immobile if Thor isn't the one swinging it.
"Everybody knows us," Thor rejoins, his eyebrows lifting. "I'm a god, and you announced your identity on a national broadcast, if the story is to be believed."
Tony blows air through his lips derisively. "There has to be somewhere. Some dumb little town with no TVs where we can buy some farmland and call ourselves John and Joe Smith."
Thor laughs. "You, a farmer."
"No, you a farmer." Tony grins. "With a straw hat and preferably shirtless. I'll sit on the porch and feed the dog and watch you do your thing."
"This doesn't sound like an equitable arrangement."
Thor's frown is a thing of beauty. Tony has to fight not to double over laughing. "Well, I have to jump through all the bureaucratic hoops to establish our secret identities, so we each have our role to play. Point is, nobody bothers us, we live off the land and have lots of sex, and we have some sort of Amish needlepoint hanging over the door saying 'Where there's love, there's home.' It's a pipe dream, let me have it." He snorts, as though he never meant a word of it to begin with.
Big hands clasp his waist, pull him in. Thor's eyes are bright, sparkling, and so close. Tony swallows. "What?"
"Could that have been your roundabout way of telling me you love me?" Thor says. He flashes a bright grin.
Tony rolls his eyes. "I'm not going to dignify that with a response." Which is pretty much an equally roundabout answer.
"Suit yourself," Thor says, and kisses his mouth, quick and without losing his smile. "Although, simplistic farmer that I am, I'll have to answer you much more directly."
