I've seen a theory that the Andalites got thought speech from the Ellimist's children. Would that also happen for all the nothlit animals on earth after the war?

Arbron and other taxxons perma-morph anacondas.

Ex-taxxons now have thought-speak, and anaconda shape.

Some ex-taxxons mate with full anacondas.

Now all anacondas have thought-speak.

Yes. I love this. Headcanon accepted. The implications are terrifying, and mind-bending, and have massive ecology impacts. Which is one of the goals of having the yeerks and taxxons morph animals — Arbron et al. hunting down miners and Coca-Cola execs who mess with their land is part of what makes #54 subtly eutopic.

If half the snake species in South America now have a shared language with humans... Holy Ethical Quandaries, Batman. Laws are going to be a mess for a few years decades centuries while we work things out, but you bet that climate change is going to slow to a crawl in the interim.

Would it be possible for a thought speak capable person to share songs they know with other play just by like, directing it towards their target person?

In the books, it's seen that some people are capable of transmitting images and feelings, so, why not memorized music?

I just read your thought speech post and by that logic it makes the scene where Marco revels he is Eva’s son to Vissor one with just one reference make more sense. To me it was weird she got it was him after releasing he was human. But in this case the way he made the reference was something special between him and his mom.

From The Andalite Chronicles Chapter 29

I want to focus in here on this little bit where Elfangor starts to explain something, gets discouraged and stops himself. Then Loren encourages him to continue, explicitly showing that she is interested in what he has to say.

The Andalite Chronicles is full of these little back and forth moments of them talking about themselves, sharing bits of Earth and Andalite. I feel like it encapsulates their dynamic very succinctly. They are interested in what the other has to say and actively enjoy learning about each other.

Sadly I feel like this dynamic is largely missing from Ax’s interactions with the other Animorphs. Tobias and Cassie being the exceptions, the other kids get annoyed with Ax explaining things the second they don’t find it interesting.

I know that part of it is a writing device to keep the information relevant but cut out extraneous detail. But I do notice it as a pattern that they want Ax for information exactly as long as he’s useful and no longer. I know I’m not the only one that felt a bit miffed about how Ax is treated in The Decision for basically having a chance to be rescued from earth and being excited for it. But that threatens his role as ‘Alien expert’ and the team is hostile to it. The same way all the kids are hostile to each other when they either step outside their roles or fufil them in a way they don’t like.

Y’all ready for a headcannon that has gotten proudly mixed reactions?

So I was changing how I wanted to render Andalites tail blade. There are a few times when Andalite hooves are described as ‘shiny black and sharp’ but I couldn’t recall any color description of the blade. I settled on making it look more similar in color to their hooves implying a similar structural make up.

Which got me thinking about what things in the animal kingdom could be tough enough and sharp enough to function as a tail blade. And I was thinking how Andalite hooves serve a similar grinding/crushing function to teeth.

So what if the hooves and blades are made up of a structure less like keratin (hair/fingernails) and more like tooth enamel?

We know flowers, nature etc are important to Andalites so I know that Elfangor always made/bought huge elaborate bouquets for Loren to send to her job for valentines/birthday/cause he thought she’d like it etc.

And similar Loren sent novelty chocolates/sweets to Elfangor’s job that had the dual purpose of keeping him from hot wiring the company vending machine again
