Thoughts Running Wild

The next day she woke up without her usual smile. Always thinking about him suddenly became a curse. She should’ve thought before she fell. But it was more like jumping. She wanted it; it’s her fault. 

She didn’t know what to do. Spending the day with him always in the back of her mind was haunting. A video, replaying over and over again. “When you’re with someone for that long, it’s hard to just move on.”

She sees a shadow of him sitting on the steps of the brownstone buildings. She sees his cigarettes in the hands of every smoker. She wants the feel of his legs across hers as she watches her daily Netflix movie. 

Then he calls.

Sometimes I get that feeling where all I want to do is to find a random park and just lay there for a while.

Forget about the world Reflecting Thinking Dreaming Relaxing Letting my thoughts run wild

What I would give just to be able to do that right now.
