Graveland Thousand Swords Black Metal Poland 1995 https://youtu.be/t9yfhfdFGjY
“...in the name of the moon...”
Graveland @ Steelfest (Hyvinkää, Finland)
Perfect atmosphere and polished performance! Played tons of classics that I never thought I would hear live. Highlight of the festival without a doubt!
Demon to others, angel to no one
Whispered - Thousand Swords
1995. Thousand Swords
is the second album by band Graveland.
the band was formed in 1992 by Rob Darken. The lyrics of Graveland are strongly Viking metal—inspired by nature, darkness, battles/war, Paganism, Celtic beliefs, Heathenism, Norse mythology, and Slavic mythology.
Thousand Swords is an album that while not for everyone, occupies a special place in the pantheon of classic black metal records. Like Burzum's Filosofem, it exists in the transitional point between the ending of the classic "second wave" and the more atmospheric releases that followed.
