Nothing wrong

Day 5: Disaster

Legolas had waited and waited, but he could no longer hold out and had ended up inviting Haldir to Greenwood. His father had repeated to the whole family that he had a meeting of the utmost importance that day, that he would be coming home very late and that he was already tired of this meeting even before it started. Anyway. Bard was also coming home late, and Legolas had managed to convince Bain to go spend the end of the afternoon and the evening at Thorin’s. The Dwarves were organizing one of their usual big parties: food, drinks and joyful songs - and depressing ones, depending on the mood.

Haldir and Legolas had come home together, had made love. They even had time to watch a movie together, closely wrapped around each other’s naked body on the teenager’s bed. They were laughing together, without even paying attention, when Legolas’s ears twitched.

“Wait! Shh!”

Haldir stopped dead, his laughter fading and worry replacing happiness on his face and in his eyes.

“Man le trasta?”

“Shh!”

He jumped out of his bed. The lock had opened downstairs.

“Someone’s coming! Quick!! Get dressed!”

Hastily, he slid back on his boxer shorts, his pants and his shirt. Haldir was dressed too and was looking all around him, completely panicked, white as a sheet.

“In the closet!!”

Legolas tried to push him in but it was way too narrow. The young Elf could hear the stairs creaking under the intruder’s footsteps.

“There’s no room!!” Haldir grumbled.

Legolas grabbed him by the arm and made him get down on his knees in front of him. Haldir couldn’t hold back a snort.

“Under other circumstances, it would have been hella sexy”

“Shut up and get under the bed! Now!”

Haldir crawled halfway under the bed. Legolas flung himself onto the mattress, grabbed his phone and pretended to scroll through it, his heart pounding.

The door swung open without warning, as usual: Thranduil was standing in the doorway. He was still wearing his coat, his keys still in his hand. Clearly, he’d finished earlier than expected… and suspected something, having gone straight up to his son’s room.

“Hi, Ada. Back already?” Legolas said, with a falsely charming smile. 

Thranduil didn’t reply: his gaze slid from his son’s flushed face to a strand of blond hair clearly sticking out from under the bed. 

“Come out from there, Haldir.”

His voice was surprisingly calm. It was either a very good sign or a very bad sign. Haldir didn’t even try to pretend. He emerged slowly, red with shame. Thranduil stared at him for a long moment, his jaw clenched. 

“I thought I’d made myself clear,” his eyes were on Haldir but his words were for Legolas. “Not here.”

Haldir swallowed and managed to say:

“I… I’m sorry, sir.”

“I wasn’t speaking to you ” 

He slowly turned his head towards Legolas. The latter met his gaze defiantly. 

“Go home, Haldir. Now.”

Haldir nodded frantically.

“Right away, sir.”

He dashed for the door without waiting for a reply.

“Haldir!” Thranduil called after him as he bounded down the stairs. 

“Yes, sir?”

“Your bag.”

“Oh… Yes, sir.” 

He went back up, grabbed his bag from beside Legolas’s bed and slung it over his shoulder. They exchanged a glance, for a split second, and kissed under Thranduil’s indignant gaze.

“Out!!”

This time, Haldir disappeared for good. Legolas heard his hurried footsteps, and the front door slamming behind him. Thranduil glared at Legolas, silent.

“We weren’t doing anything wrong,” the teenager protested weakly. 

His father sighed, looking suddenly very weary.

“I know. Next time you want to invite him… let me know beforehand ’

He turned his back on him and left the room without another word, closing the door behind him. Legolas lay on his bed, his heart still on the verge of a heart attack. His eyes fell on the Greenwood estate stretching out before his window; in the distance, he could see Haldir’s hair flying behind him as he fled for his life.

Looking for an RP!

I'm not new to RPing but I've never roleplayed on Tumblr before except for a few short ones in other fandoms, so if anyone is looking for a Hobbit RP then feel free to message me! (I'd prefer to keep the RPs in messages for now since I'm new to this side of Tumblr)

I'm open to playing different characters, I'd love to explore different ships and not just Bilbo x Thorin (but of course also happy to RP them) Canon era, modern AU or other AUs are all welcome!
