“So... Uh... Whacha workin’ on?”

"Believe me, I of all people understand that curiosity leads to trouble."
Curiosity
Alice encounters a lot of strange rumors floating around the dark corners of cyberspace. But a brain in a jar has to be one of the odder things that has caught her cynical attention.
She enters a secure chat with user LIV3CAT5, one of her online allies.
Alice opens her email and works on the encrypted file. There is no location, but there is the original video file that LIV3CAT5 accessed. Alice doesn't know if the film is legitimate, but among the grainy images, she thinks she sees what he has asserted.
"That's unfuckingbelievable..."
If only Alice could get a location, she would have to see this miracle of science for herself. Her curiosity is insatiable. The young hacker works on extracting data from the original video file.

curiosity || masrur-general
It was no secret that Mihran was a curious child. Even when he began to speak his first words, he'd always look around, a confused gaze in his own eyes, his little head pondering about these so called "wonders".
His mother was usually the one who bathed him, which is why he was a bit excited when he took a bath with his father, the one he looked up to the most. Mihran was so tiny, and his father was so big, and he could only hope to grow to that size one day.
Something caught his eye, though. There were marks all over his father's back, some a pinkish tone, some faded into his lightly tanned skin, but still lines, nevertheless. The boy chose to keep his mouth shut, until after he had finished bathing and got dressed.
When his father began to ruffle his hair with a towel, he folded the edges over, looking into his father's blank eyes.
"Papa.. Why do you have so many lines on your back..?"
Curiosity || Bryan and Daniel
Bryan was sneaking around before survey - well, not sneaking, per say, but more like killing time. He had had his things packed for a couple of days now and had checked everything time and time again. He had driven rovers, but passed up on the rifles. They still made him nervous to think about, and by extension, so did the thought of violence. He wasn't sure he could raise his hand against another unless provoked.
And even then...
He swallowed nervously, shaking his head and clearing himself of the memories that threatened to overtake his consciousness. The meds helped his mood, yeah, but they couldn't erase the despair and helplessness that his memories seemed to fill him with.
His next distraction was near, though. Dr. Daniel Hargrave, cyborg doctor. Bryan had talked with Megan and knew she had cyborg parts, and the subject was...interesting. He had read that the doctor was to be left behind, so he wouldn't be too busy, right?
"Hey, Doc?" Bryan knocked on the man's office door, poking his head through the semi-opening. "You got a minute?"
Curiosity | Anna & Aminah
Anna bit her lip as she stepped up to the large house. Although it might look like the rest of the houses in the neighborhood, she knew better - inside those doors was the dwelling of Leila and Aminah, two individuals she knew to be extroadinary in other ways. She had only spoken with Leila once or twice, even though she had always looked up to the older girl. Anna didn't care what they said about her - she went to the places she wanted to go and did everything she needed to do herself. In Anna's eyes, that was enough to at least think about doing things the way she did. The amazing thing was, it kind of worked - she had stopped apologizing, at least for the silly things, and that alone made Anna feel better about herself.
But Leila wasn't the one Anna had come to see - Aminah was the wolf on Anna's mind. Leila had already declared, but Aminah was now the pack member closest to Anna's age, and although she had spoken with Eve the day after the pageant, Anna still wasn't ready to definitively decide between her and Jacob. Truth be told, she didn't know Aminah well, but the girl had always seemed nice - a blush colored her cheeks slightly as she remembered that Ami had indeed called her pretty. Between her newfound confidence and her curiosity, she found herself at the house, wondering what, if anything, Aminah had to say.
It was this train of thought that led Anna to knock at the door, softly at first and then more definitively. If she could speak to the other girl and see what she had to say, maybe that would help. And if not, at least she could get to know and maybe become a little closer to Aminah. After all, pack was key, and even if everyone was divided, Anna was determined to surround herself with people she knew and trusted. Jacob and Eve each had their own agendas, and she knew that even if she declared, she would have to keep an eye out for herself. She had seen too much - visions or otherwise - to think anything but.
She knocked again, eyes drifting anxiously across the hardwood door as she desperately hoped she would actully get to speak to Aminah.
