Ballister had decided to take a walk, not having anything to do at the time. He enjoyed getting the fresh air, and had lost track of time. Realizing he'd been walking for a while he decided to sit down for a moment. Someone was sitting on the closest bench to him, so he walked up to them, smiling. "Hello, is it possible for me to sit here with you for a bit? I won't be a bother."

       🌋 -- She wordlessly protested when he took the glass away from her. She hadn’t had enough yet. “You’re not my father,” she pouted, leaning into him heavily, her hand in his. The alcohol - even if she wasn’t drunk, just a little bit tipsy - was lowering her inhibitions. 

      “Go to bed? But we just got reunited!” She didn’t want to go sleep. She wanted to stay up all night with him, talking and enjoying each other’s company. Maybe... maybe now they could have more. There were no older X-Men to supervise them, no extinction event underway to kill them, they were adults and their lives seemed to have found some sort of stability. The chaste but tender kiss they shared at the New Mutants party in San Francisco was burning bright in her memory. “Amica mea, the night is young, and so are we.”
