"It's fucking sickening, isn't it?" Natalia groaned as she took a sip of her drink. "There's just so much... feigned pleasantries." Glancing over at the person next to her, the faerie put a finger to the opening of her mouth and faked a gag. "Half of these fuckin' people would hate each other if it weren't for some silk dresses and cheap masks. I don't understand. Do you?"

Walking in a dress was a piece of cake for Rianne; she wore maxi dresses all of the time. The heels, however? That was a whole new challenge in and of itself. There were several times she already felt like a new born baby giraffe, simply trying to find her footing in this new, cold world. She was walking over to approach a beautiful woman when she lost her footing and fell into a different stranger. "Shit," she hissed, straightening herself back up. "Usually I don't mind hitting on a stranger but that was not my intention," she quipped, glad the mask hid the majority of her bright red cheeks. "Are you alright, sweetheart?"

It was a bizarre night for Serenity. As a virtue, she tended to stray away from things of this nature. There was too much opulence, too much debauchery, too much... everything. Yet merely an hour or so in, she had already broken some of her own personal vows. After a few shots with a new friend, her vessel felt a bit off-kilter. She had been dancing (with the term being used in an extremely loose manner), when she staggered off to the side. In her moment of clumsiness, she collided with yet another stranger. "Oh, good gosh!" she exclaimed, grabbing onto his arm just tightly enough to ensure that she wouldn't face plant. "I am so so sorry! Can you tell I don't do this sort of thing often? I feel like a brand new fawn, just learnin' how to walk. Are you alright, darling?"

Natalia's hopes were surprisingly high for the ball. There was someone she desperately wanted to see. She knew he was a friend, she knew he was handsome, she knew she felt a connection with him, yet once inside -- his name was a distant memory. She could taste the way it felt on the very tip of her tongue, but nothing came to her. 

It left a rather sour taste in her mouth, making the faerie more bitter than usual. What was the point in dressing so provocatively if she couldn't even tease the man she had in mind. With a rather miserable look on her face, Natalia trudged through the ball with a drink in hand, searching for someone to make miserable. She wasn't paying attention when she collided with someone. "Good fuckin' Lord," she spat out, fully prepared to scream at the person (even though it was her fault). Her gaze shifted to the man's face as she prepared to fully scream at him and yet, once her eyes fell upon his mask, her venom just... stopped. He felt so familiar but she couldn't place him. "Holy shit," she breathed, "you're quite pretty, aren't you?" Clearing her throat, Natalia took a step back and brushed herself off. "Anyway, are you alright? I- I apologize for not paying attention."

How long could this God forsaken thing go on for? All Natalia wanted to do was to talk to one person - if only she could figure out who. At this point, she had had several drinks and was beginning to feel a bit more bold than usual. Without much though (or care), she approached a random person with, well, demands. "If you're not busy, I need you to dance with me," she stated plainly. "I'm bored and fortunately for you, you're the first person I saw. So, yes or no?"

Before arriving at the ball, Rianne had every intention of spending a vast majority of her time with a woman she had come to fancy quite a bit. Yet, once inside, the woman was a far off, nameless vision. She could recall certain features of a beautiful face and sweet voice, but nothing more beyond that. All around her, beautifully dressed figures glided across the dance floor. Ball gowns swayed with the music and gentleman shuffled in time. With her own long, flowing dress, Rianne spent several minutes simply dancing by herself. That is, until, she saw someone with a breath takingly beautiful figure in an absolutely lovely gown standing across the room. 

Her heels clicked across the floor as she made her way over, her heart pounding wildly with every step she took. Once in front of the stranger, she grasped her dress in both hands and attempted a rather pitiful curtsy. "Excuse me if I'm interrupting anything, but I couldn't help but wonder if you'd like to dance? You've got a wicked cute dress on and it'd be a shame if you didn't get to go dancing in it at least once."

She had spent a considerable amount of time looking for her date, only to be left feeling as though she had amnesia. It was incredibly frustrating, especially because she felt like she couldn't enjoy the night fully. She was regretting coming just a touch. She was on her second, maybe third, drink, she wasn't quite sure. In the hopes of not ruining her night completely, she turned to the stranger next to her and offered a warm smile. "Are you enjoying yourself?" she questioned. "It feels kind of magical, doesn't it? Like we're living in a fairytale for a moment."

Truth be told, Pride was a touch embarrassed that he didn't have a date to the ball. Then again, it wouldn't have done much good, as they would have forgotten each other at the door. Never the less, with a vessel as attractive as his, he should have been able to entice any person to attend with him. Grumbling to himself, Valerio bumped into someone that felt awfully familiar. His eyes narrowed as he tried to place a name, but simply couldn't. "Apologies, my friend," he said calmly. "It's a nice party, isn't it?" Rolling his shoulders, he glanced around the room, desperate to put a name to at least one face. Failing to do so, he turned back to the man in front of him. "Care to grab a drink with me?"
