HOWDY MEREMINERS!!!! As my personal bmc renaissance has swept thru my brain like the tornado that took Dorothy to Oz, it has also like Dorothy picked me up and plopped me deep into M(eremine)unchkinland (I’m both Kansas and Dorothy in this metaphor, keep up!). Whenever I get rlyrlyrlyrly obsessed with smth, I tend to want to theme all aspects of my life around, to varying (silly) degrees. This includes me looking for/creating hyperspecific playlists yes yes ur on tumblr u know how fandom works. What I’m trying to say is that I looked on Spotify for meremine playlists and shock! Horror! Scream! Nothing. It was an empty void, no silly lil musical polycules in sight. My heart was broken. My dreams were dashed. But then I realized. I have a Spotify account. I have music taste. I have a brain that draws elaborate and often nonsensical parallels!! I can make a meremine playlist!!! So I did. And that’s what this is. Wahoo!
I was gonna do a whole bullet point break-down of why I chose each song but as I was typing it out it kept sounding more and more red-yarn corkboard and every so slightly Completely Unhinged so uh. Scrapped that!! But I do wanna say that the very first song (karaoke by smallpools) is a reference for the GOAT, the myth, the legend, my favorite meremine fic as well as my favorite bmc fic ever !! OF ALL TIME !! we’ll pass the mic around by @some-silver-reply !! Such an incredible characterization of all three of them I think about it all the time I love it so much but don’t wanna spoil anything so if u care about meremine at all read it I BEG (it does have explicit sex in it tho so keep that in mind if that makes u feel some type of way)!!! This fic has sustained me thru many a meremine-brain-wormed sleepless night and this playlist would have died in the dark cavities of my mindscape without it <3.
