Honestly, I just want a nice big house all to myself that I can spend hours in thrift stores and fb marketplace decorating.

New Blog! Get to know the blogger.
Hello Everyone!
I’m Cassandra and this is my new blog. Mainly a studyblr, but with other topics featured such as teaching, faith, college life, and frugal living. I’m 19 and I’m currently attending my local community college for GEN ED, but plan to transfer to CSUS for the amazing teacher program they offer! I plan to major in Early Childhood Education and become fluent in ASL. (I know some, but I’m way off from being fluent.) In my free time I love to binge watch shows including Grey’s Anatomy, The Fosters, New Girl, Criminal Minds, and Law and Order SVU. I also enjoying planning, reading, coloring, and thrifting. I’m looking forward to getting to connect with you all and making some amazing friends!
Interests in Philly: Thrifting
I’ve taken a hobby in thrifting for about 2-3 years. Not only can I find some rare and unique pieces of clothing when thrifting, but it’s also better for the environment because it reduces pollution and waste. This hobby has been increasingly popular over the years as people show off their rare finds into Youtube videos. I found a blog that is ‘A Guide to “Thrifting” in Philly’ by Madeline Archambault (https://www.hercampus.com/school/temple/guide-thrifting-philly) where she explains a couple of thrift stores in which are the best in the Philadelphia region that satisfies all types of people who thrift. I picked this blog because I liked how she explained each thrift store with a lot of detail. This is helpful for people who are trying to find more thrift stores to shop at or people who are just beginning to thrift and don’t know where to start in Philadelphia. Whether the interest is for an artist or an all-around thrifter, Archambault makes sure that you find the right thrift store for you. Out of the four stores that she talked about, I’ve been to only one called Philly Aids Thrift. I enjoy a diverse thrift shop that is filled with clothes, furniture, and books because I never know what I would find in there because new things are added constantly and have reasonable prices. Philly Aids Thrift also gives its proceeds to local organizations involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Although fast shopping is still happening, I hope to plan on trying to thrift more and to make it more into a passion. I will continue my hobby of thrifting and finding interesting items with good deals.
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Check out the goodies I bought over the weekend, happy reading! ❤http://www.jessicamelgoza.com/2018/08/goodwill-finds.html
