Do any of y'all think Camille in Thule is alive?
Because if she is, I have an angsty theory involving Malec.

Do any of y'all think Camille in Thule is alive?
Because if she is, I have an angsty theory involving Malec.
Thinking about how alone Thule!alec must have been. Isabelle was dead, Clary was dead, Simon was who knows where and his Parabatai was worse than death. The person he loved the most was turning into a demon and these events took place during the time he was conspiring with Camille. He was left all alone with no one to turn to. Everyone in Thule deserved better
The parabatai feels
Long ago in the other world, when Sebastian was sleeping, Janus had gone back for Alec, but the bodies had vanished. Janus hoped now that they had not been eaten by the roving, starving demons.
He hoped Maryse had burned Alec and Magnus both. He wished that a kind wind had carried their ashes away, and let them stay together.
Forever Fallen
I am not okay! Thule Malec's story is too sad for me...
I've been noticing some things about Magnus. I'm able to realize a lot of this because I've been watching some episodes of the TV show where if they were able to get one thing right, it was Magnus.
So I realized that Magnus doesn't always think of people as "good" or "bad." That is a good thing for us to think on because it offers the ability to start again after everything has gone to Hell.
But when you apple it to Magnus, and especially when he mentioned that warlocks were not inherently good or bad based on the color of their magic. It was during the Lost Book of the White, when Magnus had been stabbed by the thorn thing.
It's weird he thought of that, considering what was going on with him. And Magnus had already had a nightmare about the chains on his arms and ruling over a realm with some demon power.
Something I've been seeing in the Eldest Curses series is that Magnus has been fighting his demon side. We only saw this a little bit in the first book, when Magnus had to talk to his father.
One of the changed they did in the TV show that affected Magnus was that after all that happened with his mother and his stepmother . . . Asmodeus showed up. And not just for a little bit. Oh, no.
Magnus was practically RAISED by Asmodeus.
And it led to Magnus going in this darker direction later in the show. And I loved it. We saw Magnus, broken and not sure what to do with his life, manipulated by Asmodeus, who he had trusted.
Magnus got to the point where he was prepared to destroy the world with his father. I don't know if he would have gotten to that point, but Magnus was willing to help Asmodeus because he was in such a bad place.
Moving back to the books, Magnus had some similar experiences to that. Asmodeus did kind of help save Magnus's life, and helped him kill his stepfather. And then Magnus summoned him again and did not like him whatsoever.
Magnus is a really kind, caring person through the Shadowhunter Chronicles. He helped Will Herondale, is willing to help James, fell in love with Alec and helped him because of that, helped Julian, and is probably going to help Kit. He didn't have to do any of this, but he did. He helped the Shadowhunters even though he didn't have to.
But I feel like Magnus knows he had a dark side, an ugly part of himself. Magnus has killed his stepfather and created a joke cult that turned out to be real. He knows he can do all these evil things; he has enough power.
That's something Magnus is scared of. Magnus is scared of how evil he could go. I'm worried that in the third book of the Eldest Curses, Magnus is going to get manipulated by someone. (Most likely Asmodeus) And then he will have to fight the demons inside him, the person who can destroy the world.
Maybe that explains part of what went down with him and Alec in Thule. Magnus didn't want that demon part of him to live. He didn't want to continue on in that state, where he could hurt someone. Even if he went crazy because of old warlock age, he wanted someone to just kill him at that point. Magnus wouldn't be able to handle himself like that.
So in Thule, Magnus made Alec kill him because that showed the demon inside him. A glimpse of the demon inside him.
I'm sure Magnus is going to be who he is now: A kind, loving person who is also an amazing husband and an awesome dad. As long as his dad doesn't need with him. That's when he had to fight against the demons inside him.
