i just need to get this off my chest. i love hermitcraft, it’s a great comfort to me, but the bit about how mumbo is a freak for shifting with his thumb isn’t funny to me as someone who also shifts with their thumb. idk if they’re just imagining something different than what he’s actually doing, but pressing shift with your thumb isn’t that weird.
as a hyper mobile person, i shift with my thumb because my pinkies are more prone to discomfort and even pain from accidentally hyperextending. so even though this wasn’t the intention, to me, it really comes across as “you know this thing you do for your own comfort that literally effects nobody? well you’re a fucking freak for it. doing that is worse than having a setup made of empty boxes and you need to fix yourself”
idk if they just assumed that like, nobody else in the world was doing that, but i know for sure i’m not the only one thumb shifting and i really just hated to be made to feel ashamed for it. idk if this doesn’t matter to anyone else but. i just needed to get my thoughts out.
