So turns out I don't have any other Pokemon OCs designed yet so uh... we are going into the other AU I got!
A long time ago, a pair of brothers bathed in light lived together in harmony. With their light, they created life in the vast world. But one day, envious of the world created by the siblings, Primordalis Void (darkness taken form) attacked the elder of the siblings. Their brother sacrificed its own light to temporarily push back Void while Primal Light Elfilis fled with their creation to safety. Primal Light Elfilis (they/them) then created sanctuaries to protect everyone from the assault of darkness, but it was too late. Fear had already grown in the hearts of people, sprouting the first seeds of darkness.
Through these seeds, Void was able to sink hearts into darkness, creating the Heartless. In an attempt to stop Void once more, Primal Light Elfilis banishes Void by transforming most of its body into the seal known as Kingdom Hearts. What was left became Primal Light Elfilin, guardian of the seal and whenever darkness would come close, he would turn into the X-blade, a blade capable of destroying the darkness.

One day, after having wandered around Alola, he came across the Altar of the Sunne. In it, he found a strange crystal-like relic. Upon picking up the relic, Spectroma started to hear whispers coming from it...

Spectroma is a bit of a softie, but tends to hide it since he focuses a lot on his goals more.
I always wanted to make Pokemon OCs similarly as other people have, but always limited myself to be as canon compliant as possible. Getting this AU idea helped me get over that and go ham as much as I can!

Rokerra (he/him) spent most of his time training in the Defender Academy, one of the most popular spots to train knights, mages, healers, and anything else you can think of! His dream is to become the strongest knight he can be to protect people from danger, especially those who matter the most to him: his friends Qaua and Vinto Blade. Rokerra also respects his mentor Esquira a lot, and hopes that one day he may honor his legacy as a knight.
For his graduation trial, he was originally going to Rock Star to help with the Jewel Hunters, but the sudden disappearance of her mentor's best friend, Xahrk, worried Esquira. He decided to instead use this mission as a group trial for Rokerra and his friends' graduation trial. Rokerra, Qaua and Vinto Blade were sent together to investigate at Airtopia Ruins in Popstar—the last spot Xahrk was seen in.
What could this mission hold out for him and his friends?

I actually had the character idea for Rokerra and his friends all the way in 2021! I just never designed (except for Rokerra, whom I had an old sketch) any of them. At least that isn't the case anymore!
Rokerra here is also one of the subjects I have for my Soul Form headcanons! Make of that what you will :3

For you KH enjoyers, this lass is based on Aqua! I always loved the idea of a spellsword. Like, using both magic and swords? Heck yeah! I imagined them with a sword that has runes that allows it to be a sort of staff that just so happens to be sharp lol
I'm really proud of the colors of this design ngl, I think I usually do well on blue color schemes!
Time to start with a trio inspired by one of my all-time favorite characters!
Don't let his appearance fool you, Vinto Blade (he/him) is a very capable warrior! Very swift with his attacks, and you better watch out for his wings, they are as sharp as a sword! He met his two best friend Rokerra and Qaua at the Defender Academy after Xahrk first introduced him to Esquira. He shares his dream with his best friends to graduate from the academy and become a great warrior!
For his graduation trial, he was originally going to Nutty Noon to investigate a Sphere Doomer infestation, but the sudden disappearance of his mentor's best friend, Xahrk, worried Esquira. He decided to instead use this mission as a group trial for Vinto Blade and his friends' graduation trial. Vinto Blade, Rokerra and Qaua were sent together to investigate at Airtopia Ruins in Popstar—the last spot Xahrk was seen in.
Little did he know, this would become the start of a journey filled with mysteries, including himself...
I know, I know. Another character inspired by another fellow? Yes! You can't stop me! Anyway, yes this guy is inspired by Ventus from KH, I am not subtle at all lol. By consequence, the next characters are inspired by Aqua and Terra! And the two other folks mentioned here are inspired as well by Eraqus and Xehanort, respectively!
There's some other stuff that I don't mention about Vin here, but hopefully someday I can get to it! A somewhat mysterious past, let's just say ;)
Time to share one of my favorites from recent times!
Part of the Knight Faction from the Defender Academy, Sisallero (he/him) stands proud as an honorable knight. Having the peculiar ability combo of Ghost and Sword, he often attacks from the shadows, and at times, he may use a little bit of magic to cast spirit-like flames at the enemy! His appearance may be intimidating, but he's a pretty chill fellow, and has quite the soft spot for sweets and jokes! He was brief classmates with Meta Knight, before having to temporarily part ways for their Graduation Trials. For Sisallero's, he was sent to inspect strange activity occurring in Planet Towara.
Upon arrival, he didn't suspect anything. But then he met the locals, who notified him about "beings made out of darkness" lurking nearby the tower area. Despite being warned about the danger at hand, Sisallero rushed towards the towers. As he reported back to base, Sisallero met the beings of darkness the locals had warned him about, along with their peculiar looking general. Little did Sisallero know, this would mark the beginning of the biggest invasion the Gamble Galaxy would face, as well as the beginning of Sisallero's struggle towards rationality...

...yes. I am not subtle at all. Sisallero is indeed inspired by the guy you're thinking of! But that's fine, I like how I managed this design, and I'm quite attached!
The plumes in his helmet actually flicker like flames!
Poor Sisallero is also victim of my soul headcanons, but that's a story for another day.
