Ever since games workshop started selling proper Warhammer Fantasy The Old World Dwarfs I have had a lot of fun rebuilding and painting an army, it's been very centering and great for helping me heal from the everything that was the back end of 2023

Hello everyone!!! My name is Bublik and I want to share with you my drawing of Ava from Thunderbolts. I like Marvel, I just recently started watching and re-watching movies and TV series.

Grundstok Thunderers or in german: “Grundstock Donnerer!” 

It just sounds great, I think. Anyway, these five little guys are a lot of fun to paint. They have such cool details like a robotic leg and a mechanical bird and stuff like that. :-)

These guys were made by “Games Workshop” (https://www.games-workshop.com/de-DE/Kharadron-Overlords-Grundstok-Thunderers-2017). I have the feeling that Games Workshop is continually producing better looking and finer detailed kits as time progesses. I just hope that after a phase like that they will not hit the wall and, like in fine arts, go back to the rustic, simplified or even the horrible deconstructive stuff like Dadaism.  As it is I really enjoy their newer, finer sculpts. :-)

I don´t have a Kharadron Overlord army and thus these guys are part of my dwarven army. Thats why they have green clothes - its the army color. I use them as a more diverse artillery piece. That Bazooka kind of guy has some incredible range on him. Just make sure that you can protect them from close combat.

Thunderers (20-Point Quality)

Also known as Thunder Birds, these are potent storm spirits and akin to the Court Faeries of Europe. They are proud and keep an eye on humanity in a protective sense, battling the underground horned water serpents as Angels battled Dragons in the west. They go by many names in many cultures, but the role remains rather constant.

Thunderers have a +1 to Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Perception, and Willpower.  They have contact with their ‘Storm’ worth 2-Points, as well as a 2-Point obligation to that ‘storm’.  They have Acute Senses (Sight), Attractiveness +2, Basic Flight, Regeneration (Constitution per Hour), and Innate Magic.  They also have a Minor Supernatural Attack, able to hurl lightning bolts at their enemies.  They can also turn into eagles that have elements of storms within them, with wings like dark clouds and eyes of lightning. As an eagle/storm, they have powerful claws which deal 3 x Strength Slash/Stab damage, as well as bite with their beaks for 2 x Strength+1 Slash/Stab damage.  In this form, they have Advanced Flight.

On the negative side, they have Adversary (Horned Water Serpents and other Monsters) 5, Honorable (Serious), and Delusions (Mild Faerie Arrogance).  

Thunderers often buff their lightning bolts as they age, as well as gaining other storm and eagle related abilities.
