They weren’t ever officially dating, but hey! They still could!
It for sure looked like they both had feelings for each other. At first when Jane kissed him it was a “life is short” type of situation. But even when she explained later why she kissed him and said it was just heat of the moment. They were still flirting afterwards.
A shield agent who was trying to figure out who the new Thor was stole Jane’s phone and apparently said that Jane and Sam had been texting a LOT and had also been sexting shbdnfmf
Sam was also really there for her. He came to her chemo appointment. He tried to check up on her when she was spending too much time as Thor. He was there for the intervention when him, Odinson and Strange were all trying to keep her from dying by becoming Thor that one last time.
The vibe I got was basically: if she said the word, he would be down 1000% for a real relationship, but at the time, she knew she was going to die, so she never made things official

Thor and Sam go on a picnic. Sam prepared lots of sandwich in the basket, Thor made flower crown for Sam. They take a nap under the oak tree and redwing spreading pollen above their heads. Thor can't stop sneezing. (I need this to cool my brain off from those kinkgates :'D)
