"Because, you see, probability is a weird thing...it can branch out in so many ways...which version of me did they need? Was it the Desmond who got married early and had a son...the one who stayed single in New York...or was it the Desmond who moved to San Francisco to be a waiter...maybe it was the Desmond who worked at in auto-body shop in Chicago...or, or... maybe it was the me who never ran away from his parents in the first place. The First Civ had countless variations to chose from but...in the end...the lucky one was me."

I do wonder when exactly they decided Clay's ramblings weren't from "this" universe.
This gives an excuse for "the sun, your son" from Brotherhood, but I still don't believe that line referring to an alternate timeline was the original intention. Who knows though. This still doesn't give an excuse for the mention of Eve's bloodline on both clay AND Juno's end, for example.
And, of course, there's the fact that he does have a son in the current timeline. Elijah. He's primarily a comics character, but he also has a place in the Syndicate reconstructed data.
"...the Desmond who married early and had a son..." does remind me of this bit from Desmond's Journey though:
"The more I missed my family, the more I hated myself for it. I told myself I wanted a new family. I wanted to start over."
Desmond really was primed for an unhappy relationship.

i’d like to file an official request to bungie for a legendary (kinetic slot) stasis wave frame grenade launcher.
primary + wave frame is a great combo, but leaning into subclass element primaries (while very very fun i’m enjoying it as a concept) makes it basically impossible to do. thus, please can i have a stasis wave gl.
the unsaid joke with that last post is how i dont think vox needs to use the bathroom cus hes a robot but i am implying he’s in there doing coke though.
I'm ending the "Daddy" vs "Dad" debate.
Both mean father. Daddy might feel a little safer because it's so overused but it still means your boy is calling you his dad.
So what is the difference between them? Little kids call their father Daddy. Adult men call their father Dad. That's it.
