Jonah: I'm here for you. To prove to you that I want a second chance. If you want to stay here all night and dance to K-Pop or whatever the fuck, that's what we'll do. If you want me to leave, I'll leave. But I'm here because I know this was important to you.

Jonah: But even if you tell me to leave, I'm glad I got to see you. You look like a fucking Disney princess.

James: It's Homecoming. Coach has been riding our asses all week. Our practices have lasted for, and I quote, "as long as legally possible."

Amber: Hmm. I think you would have found a way to avoid me nonetheless.

James: Why would I avoid you?

Amber: (reaching up to the bruise on his face) Because I still want to talk about what happened to you. What's happening to you. Please, let me in.

James: Sunshine, I--

Gemma: James! There you are!

Gemma: I've been looking everywhere for you!

Amber and Lucius both didn't go to high school, but since they are two of the main characters I just included a picture of them as 17-year olds.

None of these characters went to school together but school photo backgrounds tend to be fairly generic so they all look the same.

Gemma: Hi James. How are you?

James: Oh, I--uh--hello.

Gemma: It's me, Gemma. From last night?

James: Oh, I remember. I just didn't expect to see you here. At the gym.

Gemma: Seriously? Between dance team and yoga, I basically live here. I've seen you in here, like, a million times.

James: I guess I don't pay much attention.

Gemma: I guess. Hey, do you want to come over on Tuesday night? My roommate stays over at her girlfriend's most of the time, so I usually have the room to myself.

James: Gemma, listen, I--You seem like you're a nice girl, and last night was, well, wow, but... I don't think I need to get into a relationship right now. I know that sounds like bull, but I mean it.

Gemma: Sex, James. I'm talking about sex. I'm willing to consider the occasional breakfast or late-night trip to Denny's, but that's all. I don't have time for a real relationship right now.

James: I'm sorry, I just wouldn't feel right. You're very attractive, please don't get me wrong, but it'd be like I was using you for sex.
