「巫女」::She looked taken aback...She knew that her daughter was a growing teenager-and that teens were usually rebellious and at some point embarrassed by their parents--but something told her this wasn’t that. Something else was going on with Moroha. It was in the way she’d said those three words...That-and they hadn’t even been arguing...At least she didn’t think so. She’d been asking her about what she was learning with her cousins.

                  The issue was--if she didn’t talk to Moroha then she couldn’t find out what was actually going on--but the words told her not to talk to her. Though granted--if they’d come from anyone but an immediate family member-she might have heeded them...But the teenage girl was her daughter and she being mom-she felt it was her business to find out and try to help her through it. 

                  So, like the concerned mother she was, she followed her shihanyou and tilted her head a bit::

                                                                                                       “Moroha-chan-what’s wrong? I know you told me to leave you alone--but--the tone you used; is there something else going on?”

Inuyasha had been quite excited to give his beloved little girl something that meant so much to him. He didn’t need it and...he wanted Moroha to have something of her grandmother’s. Something he knew his mother would smile down at them for.

He wanted to give her the shell compact that belonged to his mother, except that it had been modified a little with the blood of their grandfather added to the makeup. Something she could use if her life was in grave danger and this was her literal last resort. That was the only reason he’d allowed the blood to be mixed in with it, knowing what it did to him at times....he was worried for Moroha but, believed in their training and parental guidance would be enough..or so Inuyasha had hoped.

“Moroha...come here, I wish to give you something...something from your grandmother. Something I know she’d want you to have it.” He stated to her as he had knelt down and smiled softly at her. It was odd, this very same item he’d tried to give to Kikyo when they were in love and here he was giving it to his daughter. It seemed more fitting really. “However, this makeup has been modified with the blood of your grandfather. Should you ever need the power.”

            the  half  demon  had  somehow  caught  a  cold  ,  something  that  was  rare  for  demons  but  never  impossible.  it  most  likely  happened  on  their  last  job  and  was  now  causing  an  uproar  within  their  small  three  person  cell  –  inuyasha  was  never  sick.  it  nearly  took  a  village  to  get  him  into  bed  too.  the  half  demon's  fever  was  nearly  deadly  before  they  caught  it  –  having  finessed  his  way  out  of  kagome  and  moroha's  grasp  nearly  a  full  day.  in  fact  ,  he  was  only  caught  because  standing  had  become  too  much  for  him  –  griping  and  complaining  but  too  weak  to  do  much  damage.

            stubborn  his  daughter  was  –  but  something  that  she  inherited  honestly,  insisting  that  she  take  care  of  her  father  while  kagome  was  out  gathering  herbs.  human  or  demon  cold  –  moroha  wasn't  safe  either  way.  inuyasha  had  wanted  her  to  go  with  her  mother  but  that  wasn't  happening  nor  would  it  ever  –  she  nearly  took  the  house  down  with  the  sheer  force  of  her  resolve  to  stay.  ever  smart  kagome,  though,  swooped  in  and  placed  a  mask  on  their  daughter  –  added  protection  from  her  father's  cold  (  being  treated  for  added  help  to  her  immune  stystem  too  just  in  case.  they'd  fall  apart  without  kagome  ).  

            "i  ain't  even  –"  there's  a  pause  for  a  deep  cough  here  and  there.  "that  sick  –"

“Hey, Moroha... what do you think you’re gonna do when everything is over?”

Towa had seemed troubled, as of late.

“This is the place you must protect, but also what you must let go of.”

So she needed to protect the Reiwa Era, before returning to the Sengoku Jidai for good? Towa could only assume such a thing. She knew that world was not her true place of belonging, as much as she would miss her family there, if she had to leave it behind...

... And then what? What could possibly come after, when there was not a present danger, and people she had to protect?

“Just... curious, is all.”

Towa did not know anything beyond fighting and protecting the person she as an older sister was responsible, and giving her support to all around her as well.
