frank landon’s biggest fear becoming disappointing mel. finally proving that her unwavering belief in him was misplaced. but it never happens. even when he messes up, if he relapses or kills a patient or whatever, she’s still there. she still shows up and helps raise him up. reminds him that sometimes we don’t get it right the first time. because it’s never been about putting him on a pedestal. it’s always been about seeing him, all of him, and knowing without a doubt that he is capable of great things and of making mistakes but he’s the kind of person who will always try to be better, always try to do no harm.
