I was rushed to the E.R. last night and got home by 2am. I had heart palpitations which is a first (and I hope never to happen again). It was also my first ever trip to the hospital where I was the patient. It turned out to be a pleasant experience in the sense that the nurses and resident doctors at the Brokenshire Hospital took good care of me. I'm all the more convinced that I'll be experiencing my labor pains and delivering our baby there. Sold!
For a first-timer, I was comfortable even though I was wheeled on a wheelchair from E.R. to the Delivery Room and we had to wait for monitoring and tests to finish. Thank God, our baby is fine and moved a lot at an ungodly hour. The problem is with me. The resident doctors cannot specifically say what caused the palpitations so I'll be doing 2D echo and other lab exams early tomorrow -- thyroid panel and a test measuring sugar levels.
I'm hoping everything will be fine. Today I only experienced the palpitations early in the morning. They were gone when I woke up from a nap. But I didn't tire myself the whole day. I was in bed majority of the time. But I did cook dinner. No biggie and I was feeling better.
There's just one thing that make me think about the reason why I had palpitations though the doctors said that it's unlikely. Do you think having watched an episode of The Walking Dead could have triggered them? Hehehe...
