Ragatha shifted her leg slightly. The plastic couch squeaked underneath her. “Are you sure?” She asked, wondering if Caine noticed her stutter.
Caine nodded. He sat next to Ragatha with his hands folded politely in his lap. “Yes, I’m quite sure! Last night, I saw Gangle and Zooble engaging in such activities, and when I asked about it, they said it was only something humans do to each other.” He paused for a second before scratching his chin. “Well, they said that after they finished screaming and throwing stuff at me.”
Ragatha’s cheeks burned. It was easy to forget sometimes that Caine had eyes everywhere.
She also hadn’t realized that Gangle and Zooble were that close.
Desperate for something to do with her hands, she tucked a couple of strands of hair behind her ear. Or, well, she tried to, considering she didn’t have ears.
“Well,” Ragatha drew out the word as she tried to come up with what to say, “Uh, sure! If you think it would help you to relate to us.”
“Wonderful! Let’s get started!”
Ragatha gave him a shaky smile as she tried to figure out where to get started. The stomach and ribs seemed too intimate and the underarms just seemed creepy.
Caine’s knee bumped into the side of her leg. He was practically vibrating with excitement. She chuckled under her breath. Despite everything Caine put them through, she couldn’t get the idea of him being so innocent out of her head.
He was just so desperate to connect with humans in any way possible. Who was she to deny him?
Ragatha hesitated before gingerly placing her palm over Caine’s knee. This was going to be a little difficult considering she didn’t have fully separated fingers, but she would try her best.
She squeezed his knee. The movement was fairly light; she was just flexing her fingers, to be honest, but Caine flinched anyway.
He drew his leg back and shot himself backwards a few inches in the air. “What was that?” He asked, sounding vaguely in awe.
Ragatha grinned slightly. “It looks like you might be a little ticklish, Caine.”
“Huh.”
“Is anything wrong?”
“No, no, it’s nothing.” Caine shook his head as he sat back down. “I just…didn’t expect it to feel like that.”
“Oh.”
Ragatha played with the hem of her dress. What was she doing? She probably should have refused Caine the moment he asked her to tickle him, but, ah, he just looked so earnest and polite! She couldn’t say no at the time.
But, now, with the silence hanging in the air like a wet blanket, she very much wished she had.
Ragatha was about to ask if Caine wanted to stop, when he shouted (loudly) right next to her, “Well, what are you waiting for?!” She knew he noticed how she jumped, but he didn’t say anything. “Let’s get on with the show!”
“Oh, okay!” Ragatha smiled. Well, if he wanted her to continue that badly…
Ragatha cupped the top of Caine’s knee with one hand to steady him and used the other one to spider her fingers along the side of his knee. He jolted in place but didn’t fly up this time.
“Ah—” Caine’s hands shot up to his jaw. Then, he hugged his sides for a brief moment before they clutched onto his bottom set of teeth again. “This…feels a bit strange…”
“Aw, does it?” Ragatha asked.
Caine stuttered slightly only for him to let out a tiny squeak once Ragatha wiggled her fingers against the underside of his knee. “Ahaha! Hehehehey!” Caine gasped and slammed his mouth shut, which hid his face from view. “Hmmhmhmhm!”
Ragatha was pretty sure Caine could speak probably with his mouth shut (he didn’t exactly have a voice box, after all), but she supposed this was his way of acting more like a person. Maybe? Either way, it was kind of endearing.
“No need to be so shy, Caine!” Despite herself, Ragatha found herself giggling alongside him. “I want to hear you laugh properly.”
Caine squealed. He peeked out from between his central incisors. “Whahat is this?” he hiccuped. His laughter was bubbly and a lot more high-pitched than Ragatha was expecting. “Why am I—ahaha!”
Feeling slightly bolder, Ragatha began fluttering her fingers up the side of Caine’s leg. She mainly focused on the lower part of his thigh, which seemed to be a fairly sensitive spot, considering the sudden sharp cackle that erupted from him.
“‘Why am I laughing?’” Ragatha finished his question for him. “Is that what you’re trying to ask?” She laughed lightly. “That’s what tickling is! It makes you laugh.”
“Whyyyyyhehehe?” Caine sounded like he was whining a little bit. It was definitely a foreign sound to Ragatha. Honestly, it felt odd to hear anything other than Caine’s large bravado come out of his mouth.
Ragatha shrugged as she started pinching the spot right above the underside of his knee. “I don't know, to be honest. I think it's one of the many mysteries about being human.”
“Hahaha!” Caine’s hands shot out and snatched up Ragatha's hands. For a moment, she thought he was about to pry her hands off of him, but his grip was surprisingly gentle. His fingers hung loosely around her wrists, only squeezing slightly whenever she began skittering her fingers along the sides of his knee. “Waihahahai–”
Oh! Ragatha tipped forward, but she managed to scramble back before she could fully fall over. She sat back on the couch.
Caine had disappeared. He must have teleported away. Did she go too far? Ragatha didn’t think she was being too intense, but maybe she had misread the situation.
After a few seconds, Caine came floating in from above. He was wringing his top hat between his hands. He couldn’t seem to make eye contact with her.
“Heh,” he said quietly, “It looks like I accidentally teleported away there.” Caine swung his arms in the air dramatically.
Ragatha waved her hand. “No worries. These things happen.”
“Yeah…” Caine said. He glanced to the side. Ragatha followed his gaze, but he didn’t seem like he was looking at anything in particular. “Well…” Caine trailed off.
“Yes?”
“Do you think you could…” Caine paused. He tugged at the sides of his hat. It stretched out comically long. “...keep going, perhaps?”
Oh? Oh!
Ragatha nodded, a bit quicker than she should have, to be entirely honest. She patted the seat next to her. “Of course! Sit down.”
AHH your writing is so good!! i just hope you know that :))
would it be okay to um, maybe request a fic where maybe she’s seeing two characters having a bit of a tickle fight (like maybe jax and pom or gangle and zoob, whatever pair you’d like ^^) and as flustering as it is she feels a little left out and fortunately for her they notice her staring and nervous nature and GET her
sorry if it’s a bit of an odd request
regardless, have a great day :))
Is it Really that Rude to Stare?
Zooble, Gangle, and Ragatha
Summary: Zooble and Gangle catch Ragatha not so inconspicuously spying on them.

This is a tickle fic!
~🍓~
Ragatha knew it was rude to stare. Sticking one’s nose into someone else’s business was uncouth, and it showed a true lack of decorum.
But…
Ragatha snapped her head away (again) from the sight in the common room. She hadn’t meant to walk in on Gangle and Zooble! If she knew they were there, she wouldn’t have left her room in the first place.
In fact, Ragatha should march back into her room right now and mind her business.
But.
Ragatha peeked around the corner.
Gangle’s ribbons were coiled around Zooble’s torso. She twirled the tips of the fabric at their sides, digging at the divots right above their hips.
“Snrk—! Gahahangle!” Zooble cackled. Despite not having a mouth, they tried to press their face against one of the cushions. “AhahaHAahaha!” Their torso twitched left and right, but Gangle held them firmly in place.
Ragatha wondered if they were shy about their laugh, and if that was why they were trying to stifle it. That was a silly thought, of course. This was Zooble she was thinking about. They wouldn’t have such a…a random insecurity like that.
With one claw arm, Zooble grabbed one of the attacking ribbons to straighten it out. Then, with their other arm—this one a cartoony gloved hand—they glided their fingers along the upper parts of the silk, near where her underarms would be.
Gangle folded forward and squeaked. “Eeehahaehe! Zoooooble! Thahat’s not fair!” She fluttered her ribbons near their neck in retaliation.
Zooble scrunched up their shoulders. Their little wing accessory flicked up and down with each loud chirp of laughter. “Hmmehehe!” They began poking at the ribbons that curled around the invisible expanse of her stomach, which made Gangle let out a tiny squeal.
Ragatha turned away once more. Ah, geez, why couldn’t she stop staring? She tugged at the collar of her dress, vaguely wondering when it got so hot in here. A small part of her heart ached, and restless energy weaved through her. She tried to expel some of it by wringing her hands or pacing near the doorway but it did little to quell the butterflies that had somehow found their way to her stomach.
“Gangle, wait.”
Ragatha’s ears perked up.
Zooble continued. “It looks like someone wants to join in our little game.”
Ragatha froze. It took her a good three seconds to gain the confidence to turn back around. Still, her hands trembled.
Both Gangle and Zooble stared at her with wide, impish grins. Ragatha’s blood ran cold.
Then, her heart began to hammer with barely contained excitement.
Gangle giggled and tilted her mask to the side, looking much like those cute characters she liked to doodle in her sketchbook. Gangle smiled ever so sweetly before mouthing something.
Ragatha leaned forward curiously.
“Run.”
Oh?
Oh! Oh, goodness!
Ragatha did not need to be told twice.
She turned around and sprinted down the nearest hallway. Colorful wallpaper seemed to smear together as she ran as fast as could. Her shoes pounded against the floor loud enough to almost drown out her panicked laughter.
Unfortunately, ‘as fast as she could’ did not equal fast enough.
Something grabbed her shoulders, halting her hard enough that she nearly stumbled.
A gloved hand dug viciously into her side.
“EEAHAHA!” Ragatha shrieked. Her legs fell out from under her, but Zooble was more than ready to follow her to the ground. Two thin ribbons slithered up her torso and wiggled themselves neatly into the grooves of her armpits. “Oh my—yeyehahaaai!!” She clamped her arms down, but Gangle had already found her sweet spot.
“If you wanted to join us, you could have just asked,” Zooble said. “No need to stare.”
“We’re more than happy to share the love!” Gangle continued to drill the edges of her ribbons up her underarms.
Ragatha twisted helplessly underneath the attention. Laughter freely burst out of her, causing her to grin so hard that her cheeks ached. Every breath she took ended up dissolving into bright, uncontrollable giggles.
“Okayahahahay! I’ll hahaha! I’ll do that nehext tihihihime!” Ragatha leaned into Zooble’s hand as they began to scribble lightly across her soft, unguarded stomach. Zooble must have noticed because they began going faster, earning a clipped squawk from her. “AAAah—! I prohohomise! I prohomise! Ahaha!”
What happened next was mainly based on instinct rather than quick decision. Ragatha’s fingers darted out, and weaved their way in between a few of the ribbons that curled around Gangle’s sides.
She had primarily done that to ground herself, but Gangle jumped. “Eeeee…! Nohohoho—!” She squealed as Ragatha began to wiggle her fingers through the gaps.
Gangle’s ribbons flared outward in a startled burst before coiling around herself in some sort of way to protect her sensitive silk parts from Ragatha’s tickle attack.
Ragatha started to speak before biting her lip to stop herself. She genuinely didn’t think that would work. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say, but a newfound resolve wove its way between her fingers.
“I—” Ragatha stuttered briefly before gathering her footing. “I got you nohohow!”
She sat up before wiggling her fingers deeper into Gangle’s sides. She made sure to massage the edges of the ribbons that curled into one another, which made Gangle giggles increase an octave. She curled into a ball on the ground. Gangle tried to stop Ragatha by grabbing her wrists, but she didn’t get far.
“Hey!” Zooble started scratching at the lowest groove of Ragatha’s ribs, but they quickly faltered once she started drumming her fingers across their torso. “Hhehehey—!” They tried to repeat themselves, only for the sound to dissolve into a loud cackle.
Unfortunately, Zooble was stubborn, and they immediately dug their hand into Ragatha’s underarm. Ragatha flinched violently and fell into a cascade of hiccupy laughter. “Wahahaha! Zooble!”
Ragatha tried her best to maintain her grip on both Gangle and Zooble, which wasn’t easy to do considering how squirmy both of them were. Still, she managed.
Until Gangle managed to thread another ribbon up the back of her knee.
“Gahahahangle!” Ragatha kicked her legs out helplessly. “Stop tihihickling meee!!”
“You fihihirst!”
Ragatha stopped.
Gangle did too, and Zooble followed immediately after.
All three of them collapsed into a breathless heap onto the floor. They were practically a tangle of limbs, ribbons, and other spare parts.
“You’re both evil,” Ragatha declared through another bout of helpless giggles.
“Mm, maybe a little,” Zooble admitted.
Gangle only laughed softly. Her ribbons were still looped lazily around Ragatha’s wrists. “But, you still had fun, though, right?”
Ragatha opened her mouth, unsure of what to say. Her first instinct was to deny it on principle alone, but she didn’t want to lie to either of them, especially not when they took the time to include her during what was obviously meant to be a private moment.
Zooble poked her side, again, interrupting that thought.
Ragatha let out a startled squeak.
All three of them dissolved into laughter as another tickle fight began.

“Can you move?”
Ragatha blinked slowly before managing to swing her head in Jax’s direction.
Wowwwww, he was so tall. He must have gained at least five feet since she last saw him. Good for him.
Oh wait. Was he actually taller or was she just lying down? She couldn’t quite tell.
Ragatha smiled and shot him a couple of finger guns. “Yo, Jax. I, like, hate you, but I don’t want you to hate me.” She squinted at the ceiling. The tiles had seemingly morphed into one another. “Is that weird?”
Jax gave her a look. “You’re drunk or something.” He tried stepping over her, but Ragatha didn’t want him to leave. Not yet. She grabbed his ankle, and Jax let out a tiny yelp before stumbling over. He hit the ground and glared at Ragatha. “What are you—?” Jax shook his leg, but she held onto him. “Let go of me!”
“Ya know,” Ragatha said. She pulled herself up using Jax’s pant leg and climbed toward him. “I miss how we used to be, man. Like when we were friends and stuff…”
Jax glared at her. “You’re just drunk, Ragatha. Come on.”
He scooted backward, and Ragatha lost her balance. She grabbed his sides to steady herself, inadvertently squeezing them. Jax flinched. Hard.
“Do you remember?” Ragatha asked. “When we used to laugh together…?” She began to wiggle her fingers. The action was languid, as she couldn’t quite get her bearings, but Jax began trembling beneath her.
Jax’s hand instinctively shot to his mouth. “Hahaha…?! Ragahahahatha!” Then, thinking better of it, he grabbed her arms and pushed her back. “Stop that!”
Ragatha flopped backward, falling over near his legs. She had forgotten how cute and boyish his giggles could be. Jax’s usual laughter (which she had expected was a mask, but she couldn’t tell) tended to be a restrained snicker reserved for when he was about to pull a prank or do something else devious. Now, he sounded strangely innocent. Ragatha wanted to hear more.
“Like, I still hate you, but, like, you knowww…” She clawed at the fleshy part of his thigh.
Jax bucked his legs as though electrocuted. “I’m beeheheheeheeeing serious!! Stahahahaap!” Jax growled through his teeth to stop himself from laughing, but broke once Ragatha’s fingers trailed down to his kneecap. “You’re—you’re ahahahaha! Disgusting…! HahaHAHAhaha??”
Jax shot his leg forward, kicking Ragatha in the side. She gasped, but it hadn’t hurt all that much. Besides, it only made her cling onto him harder. She grabbed him by the hips.
“See? That’s what I’m talking about…” She started pinching at the bony parts of his hips. Jax let out a loud, sudden cackle before scrambling backward. “You’re sooooo mean. Soooo mean. No wonder nobody likes you.”
Jax screamed when she slipped her hands underneath his uniform. “AHAHA!? Let gohohoho of mehehehhehe! Ehehehehhee!”
She wished he was as soft and fuzzy as an actual bunny, but his skin was akin to rubber. Oh well.
Her fingers dug deeply into the expanse of his stomach. It was funny since Jax looked like a twig but now that she was grabbing and pinching him, his stomach seemed to feel a bit pudgy. Though, that might have been the stupid sauce getting to her.
“Just five more minutes?”
Jax flailed in place, seemingly determined not to make too much of a ruckus. She wondered if he was trying not to alert the others. Though, he wasn’t doing a very good job considering how loud he was laughing. Ha, Jax was so ticklish. She had never realized that.
“Stohohohohohop!”
Jax threw Ragatha off of him, and jumped up to his feet. He dashed backward, pressing his back against the wall. He crossed his arms over his stomach while trying to catch his breath.
Ragatha hummed from where she had landed on the ground. “What? Did I make you uncomfortable?” She sniffed. “Is it bad that I don’t feel bad about that? Should I feel bad?”
Ragatha blinked a few times. Huh, why did she ever think Jax was purple? He was clearly pink…or red. At least, his face was. Tiny beads of sweat trickled down his forehead as stared at her with an odd expression on his face.
He did that for a few seconds until he shook his head in barely contained disgust. “You’re crazy,” he said under his breath before walking away.
